The Ancient Greeks believed that in the beginning, the world was in a state of nothingness, which they called chaos. Suddenly, from light, came Gaia (mother earth) and Uranus (the sky) along with other old gods(called primordials) like Tatartus (the pit of eternal damnation) and Pontus (the primordial god of the oceans). Gaia and Uranus had 6 sets of twins. The most important of the 12 children were Kronos and Rhea. Gaia gave birth to some monsters called cyclops and the hundred handed ones. Uranus disliked the monsters, so he threw them in Tatartus. Gaia, angered by Uranus, sought revenge on Uranus. Gaia used her son Kronos, who chopped off Uranus' genitals. Kronos threw Uranus into the ocean. From the blood of his genitals, came the goddess of love and beauty—Aphrodite. Kronos married his sister Rhea and gave birth to 6 children, who were called the gods.Kronos, who was afraid of a prophecy delivered to him a while ago(which stated that one day his children will cut him up), swallowed each of his children each time they were born. Rhea did not like this, so she saved Zeus and gave Kronos a rock to eat instead. Zeus was raised by a centaur named Chiron, who is also the son of Kronos, in a mountain cave. When Zeus was old enough, he tricked Kronos into drinking a mixture of wine and mustard. Kronos vomited up the rest of the gods, who, being immortal, had been growing up completely undigested in Kronos' stomach.Zeus and other gods, then had a big war with the Titans.Zeus won and banished Kronos to Tartarus. Zeus was from then on the leader of the gods. Man was created by Titan Prometheus, who did not participate in the war. Thanks for watching. #ASMR #AncientGreece #Myth ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►socials... Like many things in the solar system, Mercury has been observed by humans for thousands of years. It has a connection to our collective psyche (even if it's only what we have projected onto it), and a history of eluding those that try to understand it. It is the smallest and innermost planet in the Solar System, bearing the full brunt of the Sun's volatile coronal mass ejections. It's orbital eccentricities fooled astronomers and mathematicians for centuries and it has amazed current scientists with it's recently discovered water-ice and organic compounds. Let's find out all about this temperamental, inferior planet with a voluminous iron core. Thanks for watching. #ASMR #Mercury #space
This is an experiment. I'm testing out what causes an ASMR in me. Let's find out if it works for you too. Thanks for watching.
Nietzsche is profound and powerfully insightful, psychologically. He wrote many uniquely stylized books that expounded upon a deep historical and philological (study of languages and their texts) understanding of our ancient and even prehistoric behavior, beliefs, and how these have shaped our "modern" attitudes (conscious and subconscious) toward each other's actions and lifestyles. We have a life, and we can chose to exercise it or let it atrophy. He encourages the former.
These books are some of the most widely known, read, and listened to by children since the 1960's. And it's no surprise. Their stories are powerful. The imagination is a powerful thing, and timeless children's books like these are a testament to brilliant capturing of it in word and art. I hope you, the kids, or the grandkids can relax and enjoy as much as I have. *Molly's mom recently dropped off a TON of things from Molly's childhood. So I will probably make this a short series throughout March. Thanks for watching. #ASMR #TheGivingTree #WhereTheWildThingsAre
In Norse mythology, Ask and Embla (from Old Norse: Askr ok Embla)—male and female respectively—were the first two humans, created by the gods. The pair are attested in both the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In both sources, three gods, one of whom is Odin, find Ask and Embla and bestow upon them various corporeal and spiritual gifts. Part 1 (Euler's biography): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6fIoxjMwDE After googling the greatest mathematicians, I noticed Euler consistently at the top. Last time we peered into his life, now we dive into some of his most revolutionary discoveries, in both math and physics. I'm glad our friend Decaf-Math ASMR was available when we got stuck half way through. Consider visiting her channel if you enjoy math and ASMR together. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGjS9qk4gcGknMnySmPI0Og Thanks for watching. #ASMR #Math #Science
Leonhard Euler was a Swiss mathematician, physicist, astronomer, logician and engineer, who made profound and influential discoveries in many branches of mathematics. Check out part 2 (his actual maths) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQMJxqn10zA Euler was one of the most eminent mathematicians of the 18th century and is held to be one of the greatest in history. He is also widely considered to be the most prolific mathematician of all time. His collected works fill 60 to 80 quarto volumes, more than anybody in the field. Let's find out about his life trials and triumphs. In part 2 we will dive deeper into his mathematics and physics. Music used: aphex twin "blue calx" #ASMR #math #history
