After a freak accident, Michael Zaytsev went from working in corporate America in positions at JP Morgan and Google, to being on disability. Cannabis was one of Michael’s only sources of joy and pain relief during that time. Post recovery, he went back to work at a startup in the tech world. His near-death accident demonstrated that that he couldn’t take his time on this Earth for granted, so he quit his job after 6 months to pursue his dream of being an entrepreneur and started a life coaching business. Michael is the founder of High NY, an organization that puts on community events to connect and educate people on cannabis. Jill was diagnosed with Lupus 20 years ago, and quickly found herself on numerous pharmaceuticals (at one point over 40) with little to no relief. When her best friend Dawn suggested she try cannabis, she was initially very much against it. Her condition continued to deteriorate and finally Jill decided she had nothing to lose by trying cannabis. Today Jill is seizure free and off of all pharmaceuticals. Jill & Dawn were so moved by Jill’s experience with cannabis, they decided to leave their jobs in traditional health care roles and enter the cannabis business in an effort to educate and help others. Tracy Ryan’s daughter Sophie, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 8 1/2 months old. Knowing that a long course of chemotherapy was likely on the horizon, she immediately began looking for options to boost Sophies immune system. Through a chain of events, she was introduced to the benefits of medical cannabis. Sophie took her first dose of medical cannabis on film at 9 months old, and everything changed. The film, Weed the People, follows 5 families who use medical cannabis for their children with cancer and is now available on Netflix. SETH HYMAN | A FATHERS FIGHT FOR HIS DAUGHTER Jan 23, 2020

Seth’s daughter Rebecca had her first seizure at age 3 and developed Intractable Epilepsy having hundreds of seizures daily. Since Rebecca’s seizures didn't respond to any conventional pharmaceutical medications, Seth and his wife desperately searched for alternative options. In 2012 they began treating Rebecca with CBD oil which decreased Rebecca’s seizures significantly. Rebecca is now 14 and she unfortunately still has seizures daily, but medical cannabis and CBD have helped decrease Rebecca’s seizures from approximately 300-400 seizures per day, to an average of 3 to 20 per day. Seth is a member of the Broward County Medical Marijuana Advisory Board, and the founder of Hempagenix, a consumer-based product development and marketing company, pioneering the industry with a primary focus on developing consumable hemp and plant-based products. Eric J Exelbert MD is a board-certified pediatric intensivist and board-certified pediatrician. He is also registered in the Medical Marijuana Use Registry, meaning he is permitted to authorize the use of medical cannabis for qualifying patients.Through his pediatric ICU experience, Dr. Exelbert has amassed significant understanding of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), a network of endogenous cannabinoid receptors that are located primarily throughout the mammalian immune and nervous systems. It is this endocannabinoid system which mediates the therapeutic effects of medical marijuana. In many conditions, dysfunction of the endocannabinoid system is involved in pathogenesis.
