"Is it worth it?" - A Fashion Revolution Week Episode Apr 25, 2023

On the day of this recording, it is the middle of Fashion Revolution Week and the 10 year anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse. The fall of this multi-level workplace manufacturing items for today's most popular fast fashion brands was completely avoidable. Thousands of people died or were injured because the fast fashion industry turns a blind eye to the mistreatment of who makes its clothes.

This ethical fashion conversation is designed to educate. Not to shame. Shopping ethical fashion brands, fair trade brands, borrowing/thrifting/renting, and simply consuming less:

Creates more safe, dignified, fairly paid job options for women
Helps mothers provide for their children and lowers their vulnerability to trafficking
Lowers the demand for life-threating sweatshops and workplaces like the Rana Plaza
