This week’s returning podcast guest is my friend Aepril Schaile, who is an astrologer, performance artist, dancer, poet and mythologist. Aepril Schaile is a neurodivergent poet, dancer, performance artist, astrologer and mythologist living in Co. Sligo, Ireland. She works with Persephone and the Eleusinian Mysteries as devotional practice, artistic research, and living mythology. A pilgrim to Eleusis, she guides meditative and oracular creative journeys rooted in Jungian and archetypal psychology. Recently, she has performed at the Cairde Festival's Wandering Voices in Sligo, A Tide of Ghosts at the University of Copenhagen. Her poems are forthcoming or have appeared in Oscail and Coven Poetry Journal. Aepril holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art.

In this episode we speak about the Persephone: Entering Living Mystery (Spring authentic voice initiation). Around the Spring Equinox, the ancient Mysteries honored Persephone’s return from the depths of the earth. Her movement between worlds revealed a profound truth: life continually renews itself through cycles of descent, listening, and emergence.

Within each of us there is a similar mystery: a place where creativity, instinct, intuition, and soul voice gather beneath the surface. Through meditation, divination, and intuitive writing practices, we will explore the regenerative current that moves through both psyche and body: the place where vulnerability becomes creative power and authentic voice is felt and heard.

Evening star Venus – Astronomical and mythological aspects of Venus with Sancya Luz (episode 213) Mar 11, 2026

Sancya Luz returned to the Law of Positivism podcast to discuss the Venus cycle and its significance in astrology. She explained the astronomical and mythological aspects of Venus, including her phases as an evening and morning star, and the Sumerian myth of Inanna's descent into the underworld. Sancya shared her personal experiences and insights gained from 8 years of ritual observation of the Venus cycle, emphasizing its connection to personal growth, values, and transformation. She discussed the current phase of Venus as an evening star and the potential for renewed creativity and abundance.

Swati is a yoga teacher and expressive movement facilitator walking the path of the Divine Feminine, Shakti. She studies Indian scriptures and Shakti traditions closely and places them in dialogue with depth psychology, archetypal energy, and embodied practice to understand her power and her intelligence.

Swati Jain’s journey began in India as a teenager, practicing yoga alongside her mother. Those early mornings instilled in her the understanding that breath is not merely a technique but a way of listening inward. At the same time, she trained in Kathak, Indian classical dance, discovering how rhythm and story live in the body, and how movement itself can become prayer.

Later, Swati pursued a career in corporate leadership development and HR, where she learned about resilience, growth, and the human longing for purpose. Yet, she also experienced the limitations of a life disconnected from body, breath, and spirit.

This realization led her back to a deepening practice of yoga, pranayama, meditation, and exploration of the archetypal landscapes of the Goddess. Over the years, she has completed over 500 hours of study with renowned teachers across the world, training in yoga, breathwork, meditation, and expressive movement. Alongside this, she continues a lifelong self-study of Indian philosophy, mythology, and depth psychology—an inquiry that shapes both her teaching and the way she lives.

Annabel has been studying Celtic Brigit and Gnostic Sophia since writing my MSc degree thesis on them in 1996, and journeying with them as my family’s primary deities since the initiatory birth of my daughter Sophia in 1999, and her surgery at the Celtic Festival of Imbolc 2002 during my Priestess of Avalon training in Glastonbury. Their mythos and archetypal energies inspired my historical witch-burnings novel The Serpent’s Tale, which begins and ends on 2 Feb – Gnostic Candlemas or Candelora.

Author, Creatrix & Warrior Mama of 5 children, 2 of whom she has nursed through 20 operations over the past 26 years, and for many of those as a self-employed, single mother. She wrote and published my historical, witch-burnings novel The Serpent’s Tale during the 9 years that I nursed my daughter Sophia through 12 operations, alchemising my repeated dark nights of the Soul into the light of my gnosis to share in the world, guided by Brigit and Sophia in their embodiment of Lady Alchemia.
