    True Crime with a twist. By and from those that have been there. Crime stories from those that investigated crimes and caught criminals. Also victims of crimes tell about their experience. Plus trauma stories, by those that have been through it. Often crime based, but not always, people talk about the trauma, how it impacted them and how they built their lives after. Law Enforcement Talk: True Crime and Trauma Stories Radio Show and
    It is a True Crime Show, a Law Enforcement Officer Show and a Human Interest show all in one. Get a glimpse of life behind the badge, investigations of true crimes, violence they encounter and experience. Law enforcement officers, first responders, military veterans, victims of crime and their families tell their stories of the trauma they experienced mostly regarding True Crime incidents. They also talk about how they built their new lives they wanted afterwards. While many people think the show is about Law Enforcement Training, or Law Enforcement specific topis, it is not, think of True Crime Podcasts with a twist.
    The Law Enforcement Talk Show goes to radio first. Therefore it is required that I use a clock for the length of segments. You’ve probably seen on television news interviews that they have a hard break. It’s the same with radio. The stations have to be able to program in their commercials, news, weather, traffic reports etc. These are called avails, they are NOT Optional. Every guest knows about and is informed of the length of the segments and that I will interrupt them if needed to go to the break. The interviews are recorded and the guests know that the segments must be in a certain length and it is required and they get to tell their stories to millions of people for free.
    The bi-weekly podcast version of the syndicated Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show, with numerous affiliate US Radio Stations, broadcasting once a week to millions of people. 
    The show host,  John “Jay” Wiley, is a radio DJ and Retired Baltimore Police Sergeant. The show started as a podcast, before being recruited by terrestrial AM-FM radio stations and has been in continuous operation since March of 2017. You can reach him at jay@letradio.com.

    Gunfight Police Blinded. Gunfight Left This Police Officer Blinded and Ended His Career. Special episode. In September 2011, Officer Robert DeNapoli confronted a life-altering incident when he responded to an armed robbery at a jewelry store in Woburn, Massachusetts. As he emerged from his cruiser, he was met with a hail of bullets during a violent shootout. DeNapoli endured multiple gunshot wounds, striking his hand, arms, legs, and, most severely, his left eye. Gunfight police blinded, this powerful special episode tells the story of Officer Robert DeNapoli, a law enforcement officer whose life and career were forever changed during a violent police shooting.     As the first responder to the scene, Bob displayed extraordinary courage by immediately engaging the armed suspect in a fierce exchange of gunfire. Despite taking multiple rounds, he managed to hit the suspect twice. However, as a round hit his hand, severely damaging it and causing the loss of most of his index finger, the trigger mechanism of his weapon became inoperable, leaving him defenseless.     DeNapoli was promptly rushed to Burlington Hospital in critical condition. After enduring several surgeries and days of intensive medical care, he eventually returned home. Although the injuries forced him to retire, ending his 17-year career as a law enforcement officer and leaving him blind in one eye, he continued to play an active role in the law enforcement community through his involvement with V.I.P.O. (Veterans In Police Organizations). Gunfight Police Blinded.

    Within V.I.P.O., DeNapoli dedicates his time to supporting and instructing fellow officers regarding line-of-duty death policies and procedures. He also extends his efforts to prepare police officers and their families for the challenges inherent in police work. Officer DeNapoli's unwavering commitment to V.I.P.O. and his work with other officers facing similar difficulties is a testament to his resilience and the enduring spirit of law enforcement.     In the line of duty, this Deputy Sheriff found himself involved in a deadly shooting. He shares the details of the fateful call for service, the events leading up to the shooting, and the subsequent investigation. While he survived the incident, his life took a distressing turn as the traumatic aftermath, combined with the toll of other law enforcement experiences, began to erode his well-being.     The traumatic effects of the incident, along with the cumulative stress from his 15-year career as a deputy sheriff, led to a spiral of challenges. Regan experienced alcohol abuse, depression, and other symptoms of post-traumatic stress, which ultimately resulted in the end of his decorated law enforcement career.

    Regan commenced his law enforcement journey by graduating at the top of his class in the Police Academy in 2000. He swiftly joined the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in October of the same year, serving the community he had grown up in. Regan initially worked as a Road Deputy, progressing to various roles within the agency, including Field Training Officer, Corporal, General Crimes Agent, K-9 Deputy/Handler, and Career Development Field Agent. His commitment to professional growth saw him attending numerous accredited furthering education classes, covering topics such as Line Supervision, Stress Management Techniques, Homicide Investigations, Drug Investigations, and Leadership.     Throughout his distinguished 15-year career, Regan earned numerous accolades and awards, including Deputy of the Month Awards, Merit Bars, Commendable Service Awards, and the Medal of Valor in 2010.

    Today, Regan is dedicated to earning a degree in Psychology and continuing his mission to support first responders and their mental well-being. As the President and Co-founder of T-6 Advanced Training and Career Development Group, he leverages his training, education, and first-hand experiences to improve the lives of first responders and their families.     Former Hartford Police Officer, Jill Kidik, opens up about her traumatic experience, recounting the harrowing day she responded to what seemed like a routine disturbance call in downtown Hartford, Connecticut on May 17, 2018.     Two heroic maintenance workers, fully aware of the imminent danger, rushed to her aid and demonstrated unwavering courage as they fought off the assailant, putting their lives on the line.
