La Judy was the secretary of transportation, the director of the New Mexico State Fair and was one of the founding members of the Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque. They discuss the historic nuances of being a Mexican and/or “Hispanic” in New Mexico, and the survival tactics that she utilized in her upbringing with her familia, curriculum, voluntary work, food, languages, and her role in this white male dominated world.
