    Larry Miller Show

Comedian Larry Miller tells uplifting stories from his own life, in the tradition of great radio raconteurs like Jean Shepherd and Prarie Home Companion. Tune in to the fireside chat for the 21st century. It’s time well spent!

Larry Miller is best known for roles in Waiting For Guffman, Best in Show and 10 Things I Hate About You, as well as his standup comedy. Now he brings his sharp wit and genteel manner to his very own podcast. And it’s the only podcast recorded from inside an extinct volcano!

Happy New Year from TWWLM! Jan 01, 2014
    Show notes

We hope you enjoy this special treat from Larry, Dr. Chris and Colonel Jeff. We're bringing you a New Year's episode of The Fred Allen Show which originally aired on 12/14/47. Fred Allen was known for his quick ad libs and cornball recurring characters. Although the show may sound tame by today's standards, his wordplay and double entendre pushed to the edges of acceptable content in its day and he was often censored by the network. Listen for the punchline of the "rainmaker" joke in this episode. Allen and Jack Benny had a completely made up show biz feud that went on for decades. Enjoy and we'll see you next week!

A Christmas Present from TWWLM Dec 25, 2013
    Show notes

We hope you enjoy this little Christmas present from Larry, Dr. Chris and Colonel Jeff. We're bringing you a Christmas episode of The Jack Benny Show, arguably the best old time radio comedy. The episode originally aired 12/24/44. We think the humor is sharp and quirky and holds up surprisingly well almost 70 years later. Enjoy and we'll see you in the new year.

Have Yourself A Larry Little Christmas Dec 18, 2013

We bring you a Christmas joke of the week, a bonus Christmas song parody and then Larry recites the poem "A Visit From Santa." From Larry, Dr. Chris and Colonel Jeff, we wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year! Thanks for listening! Quote Of The Week: "It's just a suggestion. I don't exist to tell you what to do in life." Producer: Colonel Jeff Fox Audio Engineer: Dr. Chris Laxamana

    Show notes

Hear a hilarious tale of how Larry and Jerry Seinfeld once unwittingly terrified a young Yakov Smirnoff. That leads to a re-telling of Larry's hilarious "one no good, five OK" story, where Larry, Jerry and Yakov go to Tijuana to buy fireworks. We do "They Were Expendable" on the Magic Movie Moment, in honor of Veterans Day and "Death Be Not Proud," by John Donne on The Poetry Corner. No Such Thing As A Free Breakfast Oct 30, 2013
    Show notes

Hear how Larry wound up eating veal parmesan for breakfast. (At least he didn't try to order quiche!) We hear about a great moment from one of the Pink Panther movies. Then Larry recites "A Song" by William Blake, which is actually a poem, but at least it's spelled phonetically, which is more than we can say for the word "phonetically."
