    NATO and the Accelerating European Crisis Nov 18, 2021

    Olga and Mo host an emergency episode to discuss the ongoing migrant crisis on the Belarus border. This orchestrated crisis created by Lukashenko and Putin is an attempt to destabilize Europe. Olga and

    Mo are joined by LTG (Ret.) Ben Hodges who served for 38 years in the U.S. Army and worked alongside NATO forces against conventional and hybrid threats to discuss the ongoing crisis. The three break down what is going on and consider the potential responses by the EU and NATO.

    Lieutenant General (Retired) Ben Hodges holds the Pershing Chair in Strategic Studies at the Center for European Policy Analysis. He joined CEPA in February 2018. LTG (Ret.) Hodges served in the U.S. Army for 38 years, culminating in his last assignment as commander of U.S. Army Europe (2014-2017) in Wiesbaden, Germany.     Edward Lucas is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA). He was formerly a senior editor at The Economist. Lucas has covered Central and Eastern European affairs since 1986, writing, broadcasting, and speaking on the politics, economics, and security of the region. He is the author of four books: The New Cold War (2008, newly revised and republished); Deception (2011); The Snowden Operation (2014), and Cyberphobia (2015).
