In part 2 of Kiki’s interview with Shawn, we hear about the time she met Ruby Rose, the actress who played the OITNB character that Shawn says is based on her. Shawn also updates us on what the other women she was incarcerated with think about this situation and how Shawn believes the public, and Piper Kerman could help.

Kiki had an entire inaugural episode planned but when she gets a hot tip on a breaking story she changes up the entire game plan to dive deep into it! A week ago Shawn Cooper (@shvwnfvckingcooper) started posting IG stories titled “The Real OITNB” and lays out an interesting case of why she is 100% convinced that she knows who the real women are behind the characters in Orange is the New Black. Why does she believe this? Because, according to her, she is one of the women. When Shawn was sent to a Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution in 1995, she befriended a host of women during her over three years inside. When she got out and decided to watch the popular Netflix series one day, it started to feel like déjà vu. The characters in Orange is the New Black were identical to her and the women she was incarcerated with? But how could that be? Did one of her cellmates sell their stories? Did someone close to the script hear about these women in Pennsylvania? Or is it all one big coincidence? Let’s Kiki with Shawn Cooper and find out.
