Season 3 starts off with a bang as Ashley and Lauren sit down with psychic medium and spiritual healer Amy Goldenberg (aka The Beauty Witch!)

Amy has been a medium her entire life but didn't start to understand her abilities until she was 18 years old. Since then she's been honing her skills and shaping her talent to become a practicing medium, helping hundreds of people connect with their higher self, communicate with their loved ones, cleanse their homes, and understand their own special gifts.

This is PART ONE of our Mediumship discussion and we are talking about the history of Mediumship; famous mediums & frauds, different modes of communication & types of mediumship, and Amy shares many of her own personal stories and lessons she's learned throughout a lifetime of channeling.

Tune in next week when we discuss some of the scientific findings, research, theories, and philosophies regarding psychic abilities.

Sometimes the weirdest things we talk about can be found in our own backyards! Most of the time we hope that we can't find them there.

Shake It Up: Murder in the Midwest Nov 16, 2018

Show notes

Welcome to our first (and hopefully not last) Keep It Weird Special Edition True Crime Investigation!

In June of 2018, Ashley was introduced to the story of the unsolved murder of John William Shakespeare in 1975 in her hometown of Centralia, Illinois. What happened from there was months of research alongside her childhood best friend and high school English teacher Stephen Garland.

This episode presents to you the very first time we were able to sit down together with all of the evidence that we had gathered and try to put it all together to solve the puzzle. The crime was insidious. The people involved were atrocious. The twists and turns were astounding.

What you are about to hear is a collection of evidence and accounts gathered from police reports, newspaper publications, local's accounts, and our own personal experiences whilst researching this case. There have been no arrests in this case and all evidence is circumstantial. The opinions and theories expressed in this episode are speculative and theoretical and were derived from ongoing reports and first hand accounts that were collected.

Special thanks to Kristina Worlds, the Centralia Historical Society, Esty Garland, Pam Casseday, Ron Casseday, and the many local Centralians who contributed to this episode.

Rage Against the Blue-Jeans Nov 09, 2018

Show notes

Ever get so mad that you punch a wall or throw your phone? What about black out and murder your husband? No?

This week Lauren and Ashley are chatting about CRIMES OF PASSION. What happens when murder happens out of the blue? No premeditation, no planning; just good old fashioned killin'.

We share some of the most famous cases and several cases that you may not have heard of. We talk about the people who committed these crimes, whether or not they were convicted, and what defense was used in their trial.

Warning: This episode is very dark and some of the crimes are extremely graphic. We are a comedy podcast, so as usual we discuss these crimes with a disconnection. We are not making fun of the deceased and nothing we say should be taken with any amount of sincerity basically ever.

Muahahaha, weirdos!

Welcome to our first reunion episode! This week Lauren and Ashley are joined by Matt Roberts (Episode 12: EMP: Electronic Matt Phenomena) James Heisner (Episode 16: 90's Spooktacular, Spectacular) and Laura Lareau (Episode 64: You Got a Little Buddha in Ya) and we are chatting about HORROR MOVIES.

We decided to each pick a horror flick that we hold near and dear to our heart and tell you some of the crazy things that went into making that film! Did Tony Todd ever get stung on the set of Candyman? How much did that cheap Halloween mask cost? WHAT attacked Sam Raimi when he was making Evil Dead?! Learn about Stephen King and Stanley Kubrik and what they had to say about each other's work on The Shining and find out exactly what inspired Ti West to write and direct The Innkeepers.

There are MINOR spoilers in this episode-- we tried really hard to stray away from any major spoilers just in case you were holding out a couple more years to watch the movies that came out in the 70's.

PATRONS!! You've got an extra HALF HOUR from this episode coming your way on our Patreon page as well!
