Show notes

What in the world is going on!?!?! Drake has leaked a CDQ version of Kanye's Life of the Party, featuring Andre 3000. On the one hand, it's a new Kanye song that's been highly anticipated. On the other hand, it was released without Kanye's permission. On the third hand, the song is arguably the best thing Drake's released in 2021. It's a weird situation. We get into some of the details and ponder what could happen next. #Kanye #Drake #Andre3000 #LifeoftheParty

THE MEANING OF DONDA CHANT | The 58 theory is wrong. The heartbeat theory is wrong | Kanye Sep 03, 2021

Show notes

I'd like to set the record straight on the meaning of DONDA CHANT. For some reason this whole "58 times because Donda was 58 years old" and "it mimics her dying heartbeat" just infuriate me because they're so absurd. So, here we are, getting the truth out there. #Kanye #Donda

KANYE DRAWS A SELF-PORTRAIT | 2021 Edition Sep 03, 2021

Show notes

It's always cool to see Kanye drawing, since he was originally a drawer/painter and went to an art college. Today in Berlin he drew three self-portraits that are quite simple and reflective of his current style. The mask is becoming more and more of his identity. We look at the drawings and compare them to the Jim Joe Yeezus drawing from back in the day. As well as more photos from Berlin and an upcoming interview with Musrif.

NEW: KANYE releases COME TO LIFE music video | DONDA Sep 03, 2021

Show notes

On the one hand, it's exciting to have a new Kanye music video. On the other hand, it's footage assembled from the Chicago listening party, so most of us have seen it before. With that said, it's still visually very powerful and beautiful and I think a worthy inclusion, if not a top tier inclusion, to Kanye's videography.
