Angus Stewart, Senior Counsel, has had a long and distinguished legal career, beginning with his passion for justice in South Africa, fighting apartheid, then later working in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and more recently acting as Senior Counsel in the case studies on Jehovah's Witnesses in the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
Angus discusses, from his own personal point of view, and not representing the ARC or the Commissioners, what the journey was like, learning about the internal law and policy of Watchtower Society, how he became determined to stand for justice for all the victims and for the whole community of ex Jehovah's Witnesses and how he felt about the evidence being presented to him and the people presenting it.

Listen to the heartbreaking story of Eloise Dupuis, who died after refusing a blood transusion while giving birth to her firsts baby. Suppounded by her husband, father and the hospital liaison committee in the last seven days of her life she was monitored constantly by Jehovahs Witnesses.
Eloise's aunty, Manon Boyer, who was never a Jehovahs Witness, is now a campaigner to raise awareness for what she believes is undue influence on Jehovahs Witnesses when they are at their weakest and most vulnerable, that can ultimately lead to their uneccessary death.

Leesa discusses how vulnerable adults can be when they leave a cult, how the manner in which they leave has a bearing on how long it can take them to recover, and how she feels social workers can support recovery.
Lara also discusses Maslow's hierarchy of needs in relation to Jehovah's Witnesses and gives us an insight into the physical and psychological needs that ex Jehovah's Witnesses need to start meeting in order to live healthy happy lives.

We discuss whether the shunning talk could be considered 'hate speech' and the problems caused between families as some poeple woke up and others didn't.
Chris and I also discuss the W5 documentary in Canada, and how the Watchtower Society are aggressively trying to hide documents regarding their pedophile problem, by pursuing ex JW activists who publish JW material.

Polish activist, Maciej Trebacz explains how he woke up along with his wife and a group of friends, and how they felt a duty to help people see the truth about the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses. Maciej expains the power of protesting and the successes they have had with the media, the general public, people who have decided to discontinue bible studies and with waking up Jehovah's Witnessses.
