In this episode, Tom was not able to record, so Tina from Good Nurse, Bad Nurse stepped in and helped Ben interview Mike Matvy. Mike is a school physchologist who has battled with dyslexia. We talk about his journey and how his struggles led to him developing an app to help students with dyslexia. The app is called Audio Exam and is available for teachers to allow dyslexic students the ability to test using auditory skills instead of reading skills.

Spinal Surgery with Dr. Aslie Jan 22, 2023

Tom and Ben, along with Tina from Good Nurse, Bad Nurse, had to opportunity to interview Dr. Ardavan Aslie. Dr. Aslie wrote the book "Corporate Spine: How Spine Surgery Went Off Track and How We Put It Right" discussing spinal surgery and the use of pedicle screws. The reason for the book is that the screws, according the medical literature, provide little to no benefit to the patient and the basis for its use is on one study. Dr. Aslie has done extensive research in cutting edge technologies related to spinal surgery.
