Show notes

[Go to 22:09 for actual One Piece/Pace talk]

So we watched One Piece for this week's podcast episode; but to be more precise, we watched "One Pace," a fan-driven project to re-cut the OP anime to bring it more in line with the pacing of the manga. One Pace is divided into arcs, and for this episode we watched Dressrosa: Eps. 32-34. (technically the story starts at the end of Ep. 31) We also talk about Bill Burr, playing games before bed, The 40-Year Old Virgin, Zorro, Jonathan Demme films, George R.R. Martin, and The New York Post. |

Ep. 376 - Poken-stein (Pokemon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back) May 01, 2024

Show notes

Time for a confusing bout of nostalgia on JJBpod this week - we welcome back treasured guest Chicas to talk about the first Pokemon movie, aptly-named Pokemon: The First Movie. How many versions of the film are out there? What is its true thesis? Have they made too many Pokemon films? These questions may or may not be answered over the course of this episode. We also talk about Blessid Union of Souls, The Cable Guy, Frank Sinatra, baby-proof bubble toys, and Marc can't believe Koichi Yamadera really is "the man with the seven-colored voice." |
