Show notes
Listen to Jake Merrick's discussion with Jonathan Hewitt, the grassroots candidate stepping forward to challenge this district's liberal, six-year incumbent and bring a return of conservative values to the office of our state representative.
As a police officer in Moore, Jonathan continues his service to the public, while his wife Kimber works in law enforcement as a member of Cleveland County's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Jonathan offers his perspective on several state issues that relate to law enforcement and impact individual freedom in the state such as flock cameras and surveillance, homelessness, mental illness, penalties for drug use, and illegal immigration.
He also shares what it means to him to be a conservative Republican and why he has committed to taking no PAC, lobbyist, or special interest money.
