    “It’s Going To Be OK” is a hard thing to believe given the state of, oh, everything. Many things are, in fact, not going to be okay at all. But on the advice of a wise therapist, we’re on a quest to find one okay thing about every day. Each morning, we bring you a short story, essay, or interview about one thing that makes us — or our guests — feel like it might not all be so bad … even if some things are.     Zachary Blackowl lost his mom a few years ago, and the grief he felt after her death threw him into a deep depression. The thing that helped him start to climb his way out was a phone call to the 988 crisis lifeline.


    The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. You can call or text anytime you want to talk to someone.
