In this episode, Neil and I delve into the essence of giving, challenging conventional perspectives. We reiterate Jerusalem's significance as the Holy City, diverging from the prevalent focus on Rome, without intending any offense. Drawing from Paul's teachings and Jesus' clarity, we emphasize that the new covenant didn't alter the principles of tithing and offering, nor did it supplant the Temple with the Church. This isn't to undermine supporting our local church, a vital aspect we emphasize. However, our discussion centers on the divine order of giving, urging a deeper understanding beyond mere tradition. The Unseen Realm #1 Jan 17, 2024

Show notes

Folks with this episode we begin a series about the Unseen Realm, based on a book by Dr. Michael Heiser an Old Testament Christian Author. Dr Heiser passed away recently. His way of viewing the New Testament through the lens of the Old Testament is aligned perfectly with the basis for our podcast. The apostle Paul says in Ephesians 6:12 that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but with the powers and principalities of the heavenly realms. This understanding gives us all a new way to fight against the evil we see more and more today. Understanding this idea begins in Genesis chapter 6, which is where this episode begins. Enjoy!!
