Master Oogway’s Entire Backstory! Jun 19, 2020

Show notes

For my first ever Kung Fu Panda discussion, I needed to dive into my favorite character in the series: Master Oogway. He’s the creator of kung fu, the founder of the Valley of Peace, the wisest animation character the world has ever known, and the tortoise that derived the Legend of the Dragon Warrior. He’s a kung fu master that was respected by Po, Master Shifu, the Furious Five, and all of China, and today I want to explain his story. __Join our exclusive family of fun people, become a producer, and help support the show! http://patreon.com/wotsovideos __Shop Following Dreams shirts, hoodies, stickers, and more - http://wotsostore.com __Ask questions, send comments and business inquiries - wotsovideos@gmail.com __Watch all of the magical Disney film content Isaac makes on YouTube - http://youtube.com/wotsovideos ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow me on Instagram Follow me on Twitter Like me on Facebook @WotsoVideos --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/isaac-carlson/support

Why Fiona Should Be Queen Of Far Far Away Jun 19, 2020

Show notes

Let’s venture into the epic Shrek saga to explain why I believe Fiona should have become queen of Far Far Away. After growing up a princess, getting the chance to see her as a warrior, and taking on the role of a leader, I want to understand why she would give up that responsibility. Why didn’t she rise as queen and Arthur Pendragon did instead.

Who Are Shrek & Fiona’s Children? Jun 15, 2020

Show notes

We are venturing into the world of Shrek to discuss Donkey’s backstory! There are many theories that focus on Donkey being a human who was transformed into a human by the Coachman from Pinocchio, but from everything I see in the Shrek films and DreamWorks’ Swamp Talk that Donkey is a normal donkey who was transformed. By looking at the first Shrek film’s director commentary and all of the other Shrek works, I think today we are finally going to unearth why Donkey can speak, who made that happen, who his family was, and why his origins are so depressing.

Why Does Shrek Have A Scottish Accent? Jun 12, 2020

Show notes

Why does Shrek have a Scottish accent in his franchise? Today I’m going through the wild production of the original Shrek film to explore how Mike Myers developed the character of Shrek with the talents of Jeffrey Katzenberg, Andrew Adamson, and Vicky Jenson. How did they come up with this voice? Why is Shrek the ogre with the accent? And how does this build Shrek as a relatable character? The in-universe answer and the production answer are going to be discussed here!
