IP207: Dragon Age 2's Protagonist Hank? Dec 16, 2014

Show notes

Breakdown:

We have Mr. Joseph Fait, Aceshigh291 himself, back from the past to talk about the future for a fun little reunion show.
Full disclosure: I swear this is not a wrestling podcast.
We talk the better parts of Destiny, drop some knowledge on Halo MCC, get down and dirty with The Crew, giggle about Wolfenstein, and Alex splooges on Kingdom Hearts 2.
News this week focuses on the Witcher 3 delay, which spawns a conversation about broken video games.
We also discuss Capcom, it’s lowest lows, and maybe it’s future?
Just one question this week, and it’s a silly one.
Oh and that’s the show. Thank you for listening!

IP206: Aqua, Ventus and Aqua Dec 10, 2014

Show notes

Breakdown:

Oh my god! It’s basically the Kingdom Hearts podcast we have always been talking about, with special guest: Justin Graffius.
Seriously, we talk a lot about Kingdom Hearts, Keyblades, and other assorted KH related shenanigans.
At some point we talked about video games, including Wolfenstein, Kingdom Hearts, Sunset Overdrive, another Kingdom Hearts game, Dust an Elysian Tale, yet another Kingdom Hearts thing, and Bayonetta 2.
In news it’s a long shot going through all that happened at The Game Awards and The PlayStation Experience, discussing what happened and what we liked/didn’t like. Oh and Assassin’s Creed or something.
Nabeshin leaves us (because he hates us) and we finish the show with an email and a voicemail from our good friends.
That’s the show, stay after for some good ‘ol fashion Korra Talk!

Show notes

Breakdown:

Here is another late podcast of lateness, technical issues, and problems!
We had to switch to our backup audio about 20 minutes into this episode. Real sorry that it doesn’t sound nearly as good as I want it to, but don’t worry, we’ll be sure to watch out for the issue in future. Also: Tony and Alex’s Dragon Age Inquisition got cut out because of this.
In games this week, we sit back after a nice Thanksgiving, eat some turkey, and play some Shadow of Mordor, Persona Q, GTA V H-HD, Dragon Age 3, Danganronpa, Far Cry 4, Dust, and more! Don’t forget to Smash Brothers.
Not a lot of news this week. Something about Vita Advertising, they are adjusting guidelines on steam, and DARK SOULS! WOOO!
We have an email from Harold that is completely unexpected.
That’s the show! Don’t forget to stay after for Korra Talk!

IP204: Sweaty Pop Rocks Dec 05, 2014

Show notes

Breakdown:

We have special guest Jon Anderson from Fantastic Neighborhood on to talk Game Awards and a ton of video games in this extra-late, extra-long podcast!
Jon brings tangents and craziness, so if we get off topic, it’s all his fault.
Video games this week: Dragon Age, Final Stand DLC for Battlefield 4, more Bayonetta 2, Dust an Elysian Tale, Smash Bros for Wii U, Halo MCC and Forza Horizon 2.
Evan says goodbye as we get into news. Double Fine Layoffs and a sassy Barbie meme happened.
We talk about what we think and what we want to win in each category in The Game Awards. This is a huge segment, so that’s why the show is so long. We also discuss a bit about the awards themselves.
If you REALLY wanna hear our Game Awards predictions and discussion, jump ahead to 2:35:00.
We skip our second break when we hit the three hour mark, get right into our email and voicemail.
We close the show, NO KORRA TALK! That’s it, thanks for listening!

We have Jacob Bryant, of writing team fame, on the show this week to talk some video games!
We dive right into the thick of it with a 40 minute segment on Assassin’s Creed Unity! Jacob and Evan lay down all the problems that seem to come with the territory there.
We also talk some good game on Shadow of Mordor, The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and some dumb iOS games. Oh, and Bayonetta 2.
News this week! Overwatch was announced, and Alex is really on board!
Bloodborne was delayed, Xbox One sold some units, Telltale is talking some game, and Just Cause 3 is a video game.
We got some voicemails from two of our most favorite people!
That’s the show! Thanks for listening <3

IP202: Killed All the Poops Nov 11, 2014

Show notes

Breakdown:

We have Tony on this show! Well, that and we recorded a day early, and very late in the evening. Don’t worry, Scott only falls asleep once.
We have a ton of games to talk about, but mostly Binding of Isaac Rebirth! Everyone has been playing it, and apparently Alex sucks at it!
We also talk a little about Shadow of Mordor, Sunset Overdrive, some Vita games Tony has been into, Fantasy life, and a few others.
We have some fun news to discuss this week: YouTube gets on 60fps, Nintendo directs, Majora’s mask, and a renewal of the VGAs bet. It all happens here.
We didn’t get any emails this week! Send them in please!
That’s the show! We do Korra Talk for three episodes, after the break!

We talk about ExtraLife, Episode 200, and all of the past few weeks. Thank to everyone who called/donated/said hey/supported us through those! You can still donate to ExtraLife if you’d like! bit.ly/IPEL2014

We talk about other games, like Bayonetta 2, Fantasy Life, and Banjo Kazooie.
Music break is: Smells Like Wet Funk, by Eirik Suhrke!
Tons of news this week! We talk about Smash Bros directs, Valkyria Chronicles, Xbox One prices, Techland telling you how it is, Jade Raymond and some Prey 2 sadness.
In there Nabeshin tries to make Alex take some silly bet. What do YOU want them to do?
Nabeshin lays down the free games of November.
Let’s talk about SPOOOOOOOKY games! Scary games, silly games, just something to get you in the Halloween spirit!

IP200: Nidhogg!! Oct 22, 2014

Show notes

Hey guys! It's Alex here, writing your weekly shownotes.

Not really going to have shownotes here, because we didn't do a normal show! It's Ep. 200 so we all got together, did a live show (that didn't really work), played some old episode clips, drank some alcohol and took some skype calls. It's all in good fun! There are some weird things that happen with the audio because I was trying to get the audio to work for our live audience, but don't worry, save for a couple odd hiccups, you can hear everything as it's meant to be heard!

For the break music, Grant Kirkhope put out the entire Banjo Kazooie score/soundtrack out there! Pay what you want! The music is from that soundtrack, it’s Clickclock Woods - Spring. Go download it! Enjoy! https://grantkirkhope.bandcamp.com/album/banjo-kazooie-everything-and-the-kitchen-sink
We have some news! Smash Bros release date, what can save the Wii U, touchscreen gaming, giving up hope on touch screens, NBA 2K faces, and Assassin’s Creed vanity!
Also some DriveClub PS+ stuff happened too.
We have a super lovely and nice voicemail from SilverPR, as per usual. Harold sends us a fun email!
Korra Talk after the end!
