    What I'm Working On #12 - Final Hiring Decision & App Polish Mar 16, 2019

    "What I'm Working On" is a weekly show where I give a quick recap of what I worked on at my day job as an iOS developer at a small startup in Silicon Valley. I hope this give some insight into what it's like to work for a small startup as the sole iOS developer.

    In this episode I discuss the details of how the app is now "feature complete" and we're moving on the the polish and testing phase where we really make this thing great. We've also made a final decision on the new iOS developer (my replacement), so I'll tell you all about that.

    In this episode of Origin Stories I speak with fellow iOS Dev YouTuber, Kyle Lee (aka Kilo Loco). We discuss how he got started as a self-taught programmer in his mid-20's and a chance Meetup encounter that led to his first full-time iOS development job.     "What I'm Working On" is a weekly show where I give a quick recap of what I worked on at my day job as an iOS developer at a small startup in Silicon Valley. I hope this give some insight into what it's like to work for a small startup as the sole iOS developer.

    In this episode I discuss the details of how I built the in-game store. Our users collect gems through our game and can but individual parts to customize their rocket. I built 3 horizontal scrolling UICollectionViews for users to swipe through various noses, bodies, and tails for their rocket.

    In this episode of Origin Stories I speak with David Okun of IBM and Kitura. We discuss how he got started as a kid building Geocities websites for Dragonball Z, and how he ended up as a developer evangelist for IBM working with the Kitura team helping bring Server Side Swift to the community.
