Martin - The Vampire of Sacramento Jun 14, 2022

Show notes

George A. Romero has become synonymous with Zombies, and Night of the Living Dead. Less known, is Romero's vampire film! After becoming a huge commercial and critical success, Romero released a strange, disturbing, and oddly artistic movie called Martin. In one of life’s most disturbing coincidences, when the movie came out, someone much like Martin was getting ready to do something horrific. Seven months after Martin was released, a young and very unwell man named Richard Trenton Chase was about to let his lifelong bloodlust take control. This is the true story of The Vampire of Sacramento.

Fire in the Sky May 24, 2022

Show notes

Robert Lieberman 1993 film "Fire in the Sky," was based on a book called "The Walton Experience," a first-hand account of alien abduction written by Travis Walton. The Bell Witch May 03, 2022

Show notes

In 1804, a man named John Bell moved his wife Lucy and their children to a stately farmhouse in Tennessee, about 50 miles north of Nashville. It was a gorgeous property, surrounded by 100 acres of fertile land, and the crown jewel of the estate was the house. It was a sturdy log house, standing at one and a half stories high with six rooms and a large front porch where John, Lucy, and their little ones could sit and take in the fresh country air. Lucy and John filled the house with nine children, and a great deal of love and care. The Bell family quickly became a respected fixture in the community, garnering a reputation for being good, decent people. Things were pleasant, if uneventful, for over a decade as the Bell family built a proper life in that house. But in 1817, something changed. The placid life of the Bell family began to splinter and crack, until one day their peace broke apart completely, leaving only jagged edges and fearful whispers behind.

The Hills Have Eyes - Sawney Beane Apr 12, 2022

Show notes

True Crime has always been popular. Even back in the 1800s, the citizens of foggy old London looked forward to the latest issue of The Newgate Calendar, a publication printed by the local Newgate Prison. The Calendar detailed the crimes and executions of notorious criminals, sparing none of the grisly details in the process. Fans of the Newgate Calendar were no strangers to murder, torture, beheadings, and slaughters, but one day, a story that hit the Calendar’s pages rocked the readers to their core: The Tale of the Sawney Bean Clan.

Dylatov Pass Apr 06, 2022

Show notes

On January 23, 1959, a group of students from the Urals Polytechnic Institute in Yekaterinburg hopped on board a late-night train, en route to the Ural Mountains. They were headed off on a cross-country skiing trip, taking a break from their studies for a bit of adventure and excitement, the adrenaline of sport mixed with the rush of the cold air. The group of eight men and two women was led by Igor Dyatlov, a fifth-year radio engineering student and experienced skier. With such a cohesive team, it's a surprise that none of these hikers would make it back...

Annabelle - Raggedy Anne Mar 29, 2022

Show notes

In 1970, a woman was shopping in a quaint local hobby shop, when she spotted a gently used Raggedy Ann doll. The doll was charming, clad in a dress patterned with blue flowers, and a crisp white apron, red and white striped socks, and little black shoes. Something about the doll called out to her, and she purchased it as a gift for her daughter’s birthday. What started as a thoughtful gift quickly turned into an ongoing nightmare...
