They begin by reacting to the report from the House of Lords liaison committee and its recommendations around gambling advertising, which looks to be yet another blow for the gambling industry and in turn racing. Lee also covers Entain boss Stella David’s letter to the Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, warning him of the real consequences of tax hikes on betting companies in the next budget. We take a quick look at the weights for the Melbourne Cup and Lee pinpoints one he thinks could still be going there under the radar and ahead of this weekend‘s racing at Ayr, Matt Chapman is speaking to Phil Cunningham and Richard Spencer, who won feature race last year. John Hunt shares the details of his charity fundraising walk that is set to span over nine days and something he’ll be doing alongside his daughter Amy in aid of the Hunt Family Fund. Finally Jamie Insole looks ahead to the latest chapter in his training career, as it was announced he signed a lease on a yard in Lambourn.

    The Jockey Club Gold Cup is part of the Breeders' Cup Win and You're In Series for the Breeders' Cup Classic, and this year's edition attracts defending Breeders' Cup Classic 2025 champion Forever Young as he makes his first starts since a runner-up finish to Magnitude in the Dubai World Cup 2026 back in March at Meydan Racecourse. The winner of over $30 million in purses is listed as the 3-5 morning-line favorite and will face just four other rivals with Kentucky Derby 2025 champion Sovereignty opting to miss the Jockey Club Gold Cup. Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott runs two in the race with Baeza, last year's third-place finisher in Kentucky Derby 2025, as well as longshot Stars and Stripes while the remaining two in the field are Phileas Fogg and Render Judgement.

    The ITM Horseplayers Tour is a series of Pick and Pray contest running up to the Breeders' Cup that only cost $20 to enter every Friday with all proceeds going directly to supporting various causes through Breeders' Cup Charities!
