The foundation of a relationship is based on trust. A relationship without trust, is not a relationship. Although our trust has been beaten up, we need to take our barriers down and learn to trust again. No halfsies, but full trust again. Rebuilding trust takes time, and be patient. And remember, don't close out your heart because of past situations, it's time to move past it and begin growing again.

Forgiveness allows for real freedom. Freedom for the forgiven, and freedom for the forgiver. Stop poisining yourself by holding on to that bitterness, and start setting yourself free from that. Forgiving someone even when it's difficult, and you might not want to, allows for real growth in yourself. Unforgiveness is dragging you down and holding you in place, not allowing you to move forward. This is a call-out to forigive that person that you are holding down with bitterness.
