The Murdaugh family was one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal families. Three generations of Murdaughs held the position of solicitor in the lowcountry for almost one hundred years.
In February of 2019 a boat crash killed 19 year old Mallory Beach. Paul Murdaugh, the son of prominent SC attorney, Alex Murdaugh, was charged with three felony counts of boating under the influence, including causing the death of Mallory Beach.
June 7, 2021 Alex Murdaugh found his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, brutally murdered, shot to death on their property known as Moselle.
On March 2, 2023 Alex was convicted of murdering Maggie and Paul.
Between the murders and the convictions many other crimes came to light.
No one could have expected the twists and turns the story has taken and it is not finished.

Clerk of Court in Murdaugh Murder Trial Arrested! Will Alex Get New Trial? May 19, 2025

Becky Hill, the former Colleton County clerk of court, was arrested and charged with obstructing justice and misconduct in Colleton County and perjury in Richland County.

The perjury charge stems from her testimony in a January 2024 hearing into whether Alex Murdaugh would get a new trial based on Hill's alleged jury tampering. Justice Toal ruled that Murdaugh should not get a new trial. Murdaugh's defense team has appealed that decision to the SC State Supreme Court.

Satan Loving Killer Ate The Ears of His Victims, Attorneys Joe McCulloch & Dick Harpootlian Explain How The System Failed May 06, 2025

A man described as a “budding serial killer” was placed in a state-approved mental health residential care home in Columbia, South Carolina, where he allegedly killed and cannibalized two individuals over a five-month period.

The accused consumed the ears of both victims and drank one victim’s blood.

Jared Ondrea was the first victim. Attorneys Joe McCulloch, and Dick Harpootlian filed lawsuits on behalf of Peggy Ondrea, the grandmother of Jared.

In this interview, McCulloch and Harpootlian lay out why this tragedy should never have happened and who all was responsible.

A 2023 road rage incident near Myrtle Beach turned deadly. Weldon Boyd fatally shot and killed 33 year old Scott Spivey. Boyd claimed self defense under South Carolina's Stand Your Ground Law. Questions emerged about the investigation after Boyd's phone calls were released. There are also questions abut Boyd's relationship with law enforcement and how the investigation was handled. Columbia, SC Man Tells Story of Being Falsely Imprisoned For 66 Days Apr 17, 2025

On September 30, 2024, Ty'Ran Tyrell Dixon, a professional football player from Columbia, SC was detained by law enforcement and told there was a warrant for his arrest of murder that occurred in Barnwell, SC on October 15, 2023.

Dixon not only did not commit the murder, he was never even charged with the murder and he was never in Barnwell, SC.

Dixon spent 66 days imprisoned. That included trips on "con-air" and over thirty days in solitary confinement.

Dixon and his attorney, Joe McCullouch, talked to Seton and Matt about the nightmare that Dixon lived for over a month.

25 Year Later, A Break in The Disappearance of 9 yr Old Asha Degree? Apr 09, 2025

Asha Degree was just nine years old when she disappeared from her home in Shelby, North Carolina, more than 25 years ago. Since then, various law enforcement agencies, including local, state, and federal authorities, have been working to solve the case. In the past few months there appears to have been some movement in the case.

In this episode we hear from the hosts of the podcast Crackhouse Chronicles https://www.crackhousechronicles.com/ . Donnie Peeler and Dale Champion, have been involved in the case of Asha Degree since her disappearance in 2000. They have done many episodes on the case since starting their podcast and have a unique vantage point due to the fact they are from Asha's hometown of Shelby, NC.

In September 2024, several search warrants were executed by law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, as part of an investigation into the connection between Asha’s disappearance and a local family. These warrants named the Dedmon family members—Roy Dedmon, his wife Connie Dedmon, and their three daughters: AnnaLee Dedmon Ramirez, Lizzie Dedmon Foster, and Sarah Dedmon Caple.

It was during the execution of these search warrants that investigators publicly announced for the first time that they believed Asha Degree had been murdered. Additionally, authorities suggested that the Dedmon sisters might have had a role in the suspected crime. However, the Dedmon family has consistently denied any involvement in the disappearance of Asha Degree.

In February 2025, WBTV obtained three new search warrants related to the ongoing investigation. These warrants were executed on February 13, 2025, as part of the continuing effort to uncover the truth.

A new witness has come forward, claiming to have heard a confession related to the case. At the time Asha disappeared, Lizzie Foster was 16 years old, and Sarah Dedmon Caple was 15. The witness stated that he had socialized with the Dedmon sisters at various bars and house parties in the mid-2000s. He alleged that during one particular house party, he overheard Foster confess something related to Asha’s disappearance.

An Interview With the Rose Petal Murder Defense Team Apr 03, 2025

Andy Moorman and Mark Moyer are the defense attorneys for Zachary Hughes, who was convicted of murdering Christina Parcell. The case was dubbed the Rose Petal Murder by Fitsnews.

Andy and Mark discussed the case on this episode. In the previous episode we heard about the case from the solicitor's perspective.

The trial of the murder of Christina Parcell began on February 10, 2025.

It concluded 2/21/2025 with Zachary Hughes being sentenced to life for the murder of Parcell.

Hughes had a very unusual defense. He admitted to killing Parcell but he claimed it was to protect her daughter.
