CAN YOU RAVE SOBER AND STILL HAVE FUN?? | I'M PEAKING EP. 55 Oct 16, 2024

Show notes

In Episode 56 of the I’M PEAKING Podcast, we fully immerse ourselves in SPOOKY SEASON - but with a rave twist - as we dive into Halloween festival activities. We discuss the pros and cons of rave-themed holiday events, how to stay safe during them, and ways to optimize your experience. We also address the stigma that “all ravers abuse substances” and highlight that raving sober can be just as fun—no shame, just a positive outlook on raving as a whole. We asked our Patreon community to share their thoughts about their favorite DJs and explored how SEXY raw energy can be. (So definitely join the Patreon if you want your thoughts featured on the pod!) This is a powerful episode where we even touch on the power of the mind - drawing parallels between ghosts and everyday life. If you’re ready to get spellbound with us and rave to the grave, you’ll definitely want to stay until the end. LOVE YOU GUYS AND HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON!!

IS EDM TIKTOK/TWITTER TOXIC?? (ft. EDM CUPID) | I'M PEAKING EP. 52 Sep 04, 2024

Show notes

In Episode 52 of the I’M PEAKING Podcast, we have on our good friend, Damien Huot (aka EDM CUPID) to kick things off by asking the big question: do you prefer multi-genre or single-genre festivals? From there, we dive into the world of EDM social media, especially EDM Twitter, to explore why so many ravers are active online. We dig into the contrast between the PLURR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Responsibility) values of the rave community and the drama that can unfold on social media, discussing how creators can handle hate. We then switch gears to talk all things festivals - sharing tips on how to stay safe and spotlighting some of the best festivals to attend. Fashion also takes center stage as we break down the latest trends in festival style and how different genres influence what we wear to raves. Finally, we wrap up the episode with a crazy rave story that you won’t want to miss.

Show notes

In Episode 50 of the I’M PEAKING Podcast, we dive into all things Dance Music - from the perspective of both the artist and us listeners. These reactions are what artists feed off during live sets, creating unique experiences for everyone, even those with intrusive thoughts. We delve a little deeper into this ocean, touching on philosophy and discussing ideas to shift perspectives and SIMPLY ENJOY MUSIC. Which we get to do when JAUZ shows us TWO UNRELEASED Tracks!! Reeling the fishing pole back, we have some fun sharing embarrassing festival stories, talking about the iconic Baby Shark track, and exploring music trends in the global Electronic Dance Music scene. JAUZ was such a fun guest, and we really enjoyed filming this episode. So, take a swim with the sharks for a bit and BITE THIS!
