Before being appointed FBI Director in 2013 by President Obama, James served as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and as Deputy Attorney General, both under the Bush Administration. As FBI Director, he oversaw the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails and later the ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. Since then, Comey has written two books: “A Higher Loyalty, Truth, Lies, and Leadership,” and “Saving Justice: Truth, Transparency, and Trust.”
