Grant's Rant: 3-4-24 NFL Combine Nonsense Mar 04, 2024

Show notes

All I heard about over the weekend was a 40 yard dash time by Xavier Worthy of Texas. Sorry, I'm not impressed watching a guy run in shorts. Can he play football? That's what is important to me. The combine is ridiculous!

Grant's Rant: 3-1-24 Big Red Flags Mar 01, 2024

Show notes

I don't like what I'm seeing regarding QB Caleb Williams who is projected to be the top pick in April's NFL Draft. The former USC standout has refused to allow teams access to his medical records and declined medical examinations. CBS reported that Williams is believed to be the first combine invitee ever to decline an examination. All of this comes after his dad recently said " We want shares in the team". I don't know about you, but I wouldn't go near this kid if I'm the Bears!

Episode 300: Court Storming Mar 01, 2024

Show notes

There has been a lot of talk this week about court storming after Wake Forrest upset Duke last Saturday. Duke's Kyle Filipowski was injured during the melee. On today's episode I discuss this phenomenon and why is it accepted in college, but not pro sports. Do you ever see fans rush onto an NBA court? What about an NFL field? So, why isn't it a big deal in college sports? I read a column from Phil Mushnick of the NY Post detailing several people who have been hurt, some severely, from court storming. Will we have to see a fatality before something is done to prevent fans from rushing the court?

Show notes

If you needed a reminder of what the Kings look like without DeAaron Fox, you got one last night! The Kings lost 117-96 to the Nuggets as Fox missed his 7th game of the season. He sat out due to a bruised knee. Without Fox the Kings offense goes from a sprint to a trot!

Grant's Rant: 2-27-24 Pathetic Kings Feb 27, 2024

Show notes

The Kings were booed off the floor last night in Sactown and they deserved it. They lost to a depleted Heat team by double digits. It was a pathetic performance! Inexcusable!
