Episode 250: Rose vs Jackson Apr 25, 2023

Show notes

Once again the race card is out in a full force this time by Jalen Rose against Phil Jackson. On today's episode I discuss the comments made by the former NBA player and coach Jackson on a recent podcast hosted by Rick Rubin. Jackson said he stopped watching the NBA in 2020 due to their political messaging. Even after the Bubble 2020, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver admitted the league went overboard with their messaging. That's not good enough for ESPN commentator Jalen Rose who called Jackson and insinuated that Jackson is a racist! How sad is that! So Rose has a different opinion than Jackson and that's fine, but because Rose doesn't agree with Jackson, he is now a racist? This is another alarming example of the race card being used when it shouldn't have!

Grant's Rant: 4-25-23 Apr 25, 2023

Show notes

Former NBA player and coach Phil Jackson says he doesn't watch the NBA anymore. Appearing on iconic music producer Rick Rubin's podcast Jackson said people want to see sports as non-political. Jackson wants politics out of sports. I agree and so do many others. Unfortunately for Jackson he is now being labeled a racist by many including ESPN's Jalen Rose. Unbelieveable!

Grant's Rant: 4-24-23 Calm Down Kings Fans Apr 24, 2023

Show notes

It is amazing to me how many fans are killing Kings coach Mike Brown and forward Harrison Barnes for the final play in yesterday's Kings-Warriors game! I don't get it, I really don't.

Grant's Rant: 4-21-23 Game 3 Thoughts Apr 21, 2023

Show notes

The Kings were awful last night! It was arguably their worst performance of the season as they were blown out by the Warriors in Game 3. The warriors were without Draymond Green and Gary Payton ll and it didn't matter. If the Kings lose this series they may very well point to Game 3 as the reason why!

Grant's Rant: 4-20-23 Warriors on the Ropes Apr 20, 2023

Show notes

The kings have the Warriors in trouble as the series shifts to San Francisco for game 3 with the Kings up 2-0. I still do not understand why so many people are defending Draymond Green who is suspended for tonight's game. That is mind boggling to me!
