Grant's Rant: 5-31-23 Dodgers Deserve Criticism May 31, 2023

Show notes

Another team is trying to navigate their way around a disaster surrounding Pride Night. The LA Dodgers rescinded an invitation for Pride Night to a group that is mostly men dressing up as nuns back on May 17th. Five days later they extended the invitation again after receiving some backlash. Now future HOFer Clayton Kershaw is upset at the team for having them back on the schedule. He's not alone. Trevor Williams of the Nationals also blasted the team's decision saying in part that he was "deeply troubled" by the Dodgers decision. The Dodgers deserve all of the criticism they are receiving for their pathetic ways!

Grant's Rant: 5-30-23 NBA Home Court Advantage? May 30, 2023

Show notes

It appears the NBA home court advantage is fading these days. The biggest issue has become three-point shooting. Just look at yesterday's home loss by the Celtics. The difference in three-point shooting favored the Heat by a wide margin. That's the NBA game right now and it really doesn't matter where the game is being played.

Episode 247: Transgender Sports Truths May 30, 2023

Show notes

On today's episode I discuss the delicate topic of transgender sports. I discuss a story in USA Today by Nancy Armour who said ESPN's Sam Ponder's comments about transwomen athletes is "bigotry". How about that? Now in America if you speak out against transwomen athletes competing in women's sports you are now a bigot. I discuss my view on this and give examples of other prominent celebrities who have spoken on this topic as well.

Grant's Rant: 5-26-23 Kwame Brown? Really? May 26, 2023

Show notes

Let me get this straight. Kwame Brown, one of the biggest draft busts in NBA history, is ripping Lebron James to shreds? Yeah that makes a lot of sense....

Episode 246: Glen Kuiper Debacle May 26, 2023

Show notes

This past week NBC Sports California fired long time A's TV Voice Glen Kuiper for using the "n"' word when talking about the Negro Leagues Museum. On today's episode I discuss what happened back on May 5th when Kuiper was talking on air about visiting the museum earlier in the day. I go over comments made by Bok Kendrick, President of the museum and former long time A's great Dave Stewart. I also call out NBC Sports California for their damaging statement about Kuiper. Trust me, I know what that's like. NBCSCA did the same thing to me back in June, 2020. That company is a disgrace and I talk about their despicable actions regarding Kuiper's firing. I also go over Kuiper's statement after his termination which to me was also revealing!

Grant's Rant: 5-25-23 NFL Screw Fans Again May 25, 2023

Show notes

A few days ago the NFL announced weeks 13-17 of Thursday Night Football can be flexed. Another example of the NFL not caring about their fans. Book a trip to see your team play during those weeks and you may get screwed! Pathetic!
