Grant's Rant: 11-17-20 Harden to Brooklyn? Love it. Nov 17, 2020

Show notes

That's right. James Harden of the Houston Rockets possibly playing for the Brooklyn Nets next season. Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyle Irving together. Imagine that. And then there's the NFL still getting in the way of letting players play. One only has to look at the sack from the New Orleans Saints / San Francisco Niners game to know what I'm saying. More on todays rant.

Grant's Rant: 11-16-20 Has the NFL lost all its' common sense? Nov 16, 2020

Show notes

That headline says it all. So the NFL's New Orleans Saints are going to get fined and punished for the players not having masks on in the locker room after the Tampa Bay game. Think about that for a minute. A huge penalty for not wearing masks in the locker room with the guys on your very own team. After three hours on the field, sweating, coughing, spitting, touching, bleeding with another group of guys that aren't even from the same state! Yeah, that makes me crazy to see something like that happen. Who are you kidding? More in my rant today.

Show notes

Yup. You read that right. It's not often I have back to back Rants on the same team but yesterday it was James Harden moaning about the Houston Rocket's culture and today Russell Westbrook is all over the sports news about wanting out. Trade 'em both and rebuild. I'll tell you why in today's rant.

Grant's Rant: 11-12-20 James Harden and the Houston Rockets, time for a change? Nov 12, 2020

Show notes

No, that's not sacrilegious. It's the truth. James Harden and playoff championships are synonymous, right? Wrong! How many Championships has Hardin won with the Houston Rockets? Count 'em. It's easy. No fingers. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. So why are he and Russell Westbrook balking about the direction of the team? Time for a change? Here what I have to say in today's rant.

Grant's Rant: 11-11-20 What is up with Jerry Reinsdorf and Tony LaRussa? Nov 11, 2020

Show notes

Hey Jerry, I think you should step away from both teams, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls and do Chicago a favor. Take your buddy Tony LaRussa with you. What a pathetic situation for the fans. Something is not right. Nah, not gonna work for me. I'll tell you why in today's rant.

Grant's Rant: 11-10-20 New Orleans Saints meal ticket for Jameis Winston Nov 10, 2020

Show notes

Yeah, it's a big win, yeah, Drew Brees may be the man to take the Saints marching in to the Super Bowl but what's up with Jameis Winston? C'mon. This eating a win is childish. Grow up. Hear my thoughts about Drew, the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and of course, this awkward eating a win thing on today's rant.

Episode 11: Neil Funk, Chicago Bulls play by play announcer recalls highlights of his 29 years with the team. Nov 10, 2020

Show notes

This is a special conversation for me as Neil was calling the Chicago Bulls games for most of their Championship teams. He lived through "The Last Dance" as a participant, not a bystander. Nearly 40 years as a play-by-play guy and 29 with Chicago. Oh what a great time that must have been watching Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen do their thing. We'll talk about many of the "greats" he got to see, get a little personal with him and close out with questions from you, the listeners. I think you're going to enjoy today's show.

Grant's Rant 11-9-20 Notre Dame & Clemson, wait let's replay that. Nov 09, 2020

Show notes

What a great game. Notre Dame and Clemson go into double overtime but how do you spoil a great experience? Keep stopping it. C'mon. Replay after replay after replay. Enough already. College ball has to change their replay protocol. It came close to ruining the game for me. Yeah, that kind of stuff just sets me off. It's goofy. Hear my suggestion on today's rant.

Grant's Rant: 11-6-20 The NBA in December, right? WRONG! Nov 06, 2020

Show notes

We'll call it the 25% rule for the NBA. They want to get the season started in December. Not cool. Covid cases are rising and they want to put 25% of the fans in the stadiums. Nope. Not for me.
