Grant's Rant: 12-23-21 Another Awful Performance For Kings Dec 23, 2021

Show notes

Last night the Kings scored only 89 points in front of another small crowd in Sacramento as they lost to the Clippers. Yes the Kings were shorthanded due to Covid, but so were the Clippers. How much longer before the Kings make a move? This can't continue can it? Is this rock bottom? Let's hope so!

Grant's Rant: 12-22-21 Power Rankings? Dec 22, 2021

Show notes

Why are there power rankings in sports? What is the purpose? Isn't that why we have standings? I have never understood the reason behind power rankings. Is that how we will determine the NFL Playoff participants....Just go by power rankings? Stupid!!!!!

Episode 127: Sacramento Kings Fan Memory Lane Dec 21, 2021

Show notes

On this episode I talk about something I would never see. I thought I would never see apathetic Kings fans, an empty arena, booing on a regular basis, but that is what's happened to the Sacramento Kings. Owner Vivek Ranadive has pushed one of the most loyal fan bases out the door including several minority owners. Things in my opinion are at rock bottom. I talk about the early days of the Kings, the old Arco 1. I reminisce about those days and what it was like being a Kings fans and attending games. I reflect on the first playoff game at Arco ll and how truly amazing those days were. Then the 2000's arrived and the Kings became the darlings of the NBA and Sacramento was the place to be with the most electric atmosphere in the league. Now look at it. Fans have said no more, they aren't going to games and things continue to look very bleak for the franchise becoming competitive. I talk about what i think needs to happen for Kings to move back towards respectability.

Grant's Rant: 12-21-21 Antonio Brown's Nine Lives Dec 21, 2021

Show notes

If he screws up again, he's gone. Those were the words from Tampa Bay Bucs coach Bruce Arians last year when the team signed Antonio Brown. Yesterday Arians said Brown is good to go despite having a fake vaccination card. Why? The Bucs are desperate after losing receiver Chris Godwin for the year with an ACL. When Arians was asked about the change of heart he said I'm doing what's best for the football team. Welcome to pro sports!

Grant's Rant: 12-20-21 Free Pepsi Anyone? Dec 20, 2021

Show notes

Yesterday the NY Giants hosted the Dallas Cowboys and of course they lost. Hey no problem, because the Giants gave a free medium Pepsi to the fans for Fan Appreciation Day! Can you believe that? How embarrassing!!!! It just goes to show you how far that great franchise has fallen!

Grant's Rant: 12-17-21 Ready For Christmas Part 2 Dec 17, 2021

Show notes

Hey, ya ready for Christmas? I've been getting a lot of that lately and the answer is no. One beautiful thing though is not one person in Florida has asked me that yet. I will be ready next Friday and I will be old school and go to the stores instead of online! Enjoy!
