Episode 172: Cloudy Rainbow in Tampa Jun 07, 2022

Show notes

On today's episode I examine the backlash from the Tampa Bay Rays "Pride Night" this past Saturday. Five players decided not to wear the rainbow patch on their sleeve and rainbow hats. They cited it was a faith-based decision. On this episode I look into what this was really about and some of the criticism that the Rays and players have endured the past few days.

Grant's Rant: 6-6-22 "Pride Night" Backfires On Rays Jun 06, 2022

Show notes

The Tampa Bay Rays had "Pride Night" on Saturday. As part of the celebration, they put rainbow-colored patches on the uniforms. That was not ok with five of the players including pitcher Jason Adam. Adam spoke on behalf of the other four players and said it was a faith-based decision. He also made it very clear he wants people of the LBGTQA+ to "feel safe and welcome here". As you can imagine Adam and the other four players are being attacked by the "woke" mob and has put the Rays in a tough spot. My question is why put the logo on the uniform in the first place?

Bobby has been very critical of Jones and is reckless nature on social media. We then talk about the Draymond Green feud with Chris Russo from two weeks ago. Grant's Rant: 6-2-22 What Has Happened to Journalism in US? Jun 02, 2022

Show notes

Former Cowboys running back Marion Barber III has died at the age of 38. ABC News put on Twitter " the former Dallas Cowboys ,running back who scored plenty of touchdowns without recording a 1,000 yard season, has died". Really? Last week the Washington Post put out a tweet commemorating the two year anniversary of Geroge Floyd's death. The only problem is they said Floyd was shot and killed in police custody. No wonder why so many people don't trust the news media anymore. What the hell has happened to journalism in this country? Just embarrassing!
