Episode 253: Common Sense Out The Window May 09, 2023

Show notes

On today's episode I discuss common sense and how it is at a very low point in this country. I begin by reading a column from Phil Mushnick of the NY Post who writes about the absurdity of transgender women competing against women in sports. Phil writes about how common sense doesn't exist anymore. I then discuss the stories of Ben Mintz and Glen Kuiper. Mintz was fired by Barstool last week after speaking the n word while reading lyrics from a rap song. On Friday A's TV Voice, Glen Kuiper was discussing his visit to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum earlier in the day and said the n-word instead of Negro. Kuiper has been suspended and his future employment status is unknown. Both NBA Sports California and the Oakland A's threw Kuiper under the bus with their gutless statements. I read a column from David Hookstead of Outkick who hits it right on the head about how these two individuals have been swallowed up by the mob mentality in this country!

Grant's Rant: 5-8-23 Go Away Jalen Rose May 08, 2023

Show notes

How does Jalen Rose keep his job at ESPN? Actually, you could say that about many at ESPN. On Saturday, Rose said the Miami weather was a factor in the Knicks poor shooting while on ESPN's coverage of the Knicks-Heat series. The game was indoors correct? The team stayed in an air conditioned hotel yes? Or who knows...maybe they camped on one of the many beaches of South Florida. Just unbelievable!

Grant's Rant: 5-4-23 Harden A No Show May 04, 2023

Show notes

Last night the Celtics blew out the 76ers 121-87 to even the series at a game each. James harden who scored 45 in Game 1 was only 2-14 and missed all six of his 3 pointers. Raise your hand if you've seen that before....ok everyone please put your hand down now. If you are a Sixers fans can you really count on this guy game in, game out?

Grant's Rant: 5-3-23 Bye Bye Dillon May 03, 2023

Show notes

The Memphis Grizzlies said yesterday that free agent guard Dillon Brooks won't be back with the team under any circumstances. Those words bothered some in the media, but not me. Brooks has been a headache and an embarrassment for the Grizz. God for them!
