Grant's Rant: 9-20-21 NY Jets And The QB Position Sep 20, 2021

Show notes

The New York jets are a mess. Sam Darnold who looked lost with the Jets has a new lease on life with the Carolina Panthers. His replacement, Zach Wilson out of BYU looks lost. Yesterday he threw four interceptions and was booed off the field. Maybe the problem in New York isn't the QB, but the surrounding cast! Darnold meanwhile threw for over 300 yards in leading the Panthers past the Saints to a 2-0 record!

NBC announced Steph Curry will be part of the Ryder Cup coverage. Why? I love Steph, but do we really need to see him on the coverage of the biggest golf event in two years? Network executives drive me crazy with this stuff!

Show notes

Must be nice being a professional athlete. In the case of Josh Gordon, he has been suspended 6 times, 5 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. ESPN reported yesterday that the NFLPA has asked for Gordon to be reinstated. My question is why should he get another chance and why would a team sign him? He has let so many people down over the past eight years!

Grant's Rant: 9-14-21 At Least The NY Giants Look Unified! Sep 14, 2021

Show notes

The New York Giants stink! As a fan at least I can say they look like a team. The NFL is allowing players to put six social messaging decals on helmets. The Giants were the only team that I saw that didn't have any messaging on their helmets. They don't even have Giants on the back of their helmets which is a good thing, because they look like anything but giants on the field!
