Grant's Rant: 1-29-24 NFL Championship's Review Jan 29, 2024

Show notes

Lions head coach Dan Campbell showed the world he isn't ready for the big stage just yet. His coaching decisions on 4th down yesterday vs the 49ers were as bad as it gets! Inexcusable! I guess it could be worse...you could be a Ravens fan! They were undisciplined and once again Lamar Jackson proved he isn't a prime-time quarterback!

Episode 296: Revolting Sports Fans Jan 26, 2024

Show notes

On today's episode I talk about an article in the NY Post by Phil Mushnick. Mushnick wrote about the ugly fan response during the recent Bulls Ring of Honor ceremony. During the ceremony, when the late Jerry Krause's name was introduced many in the stands booed. The reaction brought Jerry's widow Thelma to tears. I play the recording of the event along with the comments from former Bull and current Bulls TV analyst Stacey King. Kings, to his credit, called out the fans who booed Krause. The problem is in today's society these things appear to be more of the norm than the exception. How low do you have to be to boo a dead man in front of his widow and grandchildren! Awful!

Grant's Rant: 1-26-24 So Tired Of Romo Jan 26, 2024

Show notes

I am really looking forward to the NFL Championship games this weekend but that does not include listening to Tony Romo on CBS. I will watch the game on mute once again. I do not understand why CBS pays him $1 million per game. Romo tarnishes the game for me when I watch the game unmuted! So personally, I prefer to watch it in silence!

Grant's Rant: 1-25-24 Why Doc? Jan 25, 2024

Show notes

So the 30-13 Bucks fire their coach...ok, but why Doc Rivers? I don't get it. To me Doc has underachieved everywhere except Boston when they had the most stacked roster in the league. He did well in his coaching infancy in Orlando, but never got the Clippers past the 2nd round and failed in Philly. Again, my question is why Doc?
