“It was Dentyne.” If you know the source of those three words, then you know our guest here on the 19nine podcast.
It’s Buddy from the Hickory Huskers.
That’s right, the guy Norman Dale chucked from practice, the man who magically reappeared on the Huskers undermanned squad mid-season, and the quintessential glue guy on Hickory’s state title team in the 1986 film Hoosiers.
Brad Long joins us here on the 19nine podcast to talk about getting cast in the iconic film, making the movie alongside fellow Indiana-bred non-actors, and reflecting on “Hoosiers” continued fame 35 years after the film’s release.
Brad, thanks for joining us here on the 19nine podcast.
