Today on the IBC Podcast we have the first in a series of student interviews where you are able to sit down with a current IBC student and hear directly from them about the highs and lows, and the changes and growth they experience while on campus. Our first interview is with Alex Perry, the 2019-2020 Student Body President who spent his childhood in Africa as a Missionary Kid and his teen-age years in New Haven, CT as a Home Missionary Pastor’s kid. You’ll enjoy hearing Alex’s thoughts.
Today, on the podcast we have an interview with veteran missionary and Indiana Bible College instructor, Rev. William Turner. William Turner and his wife, Elizabeth, served for 36 years as missionaries of the United Pentecostal Church International, first in South Korea, and then to Russia and the 15 nations of the former Soviet Union. They were the UPCI’s first fully appointed missionaries to Russia and in 1993, when the communist rule collapsed in an aborted coup against the government, they were living in Moscow. Rev. Turner served as area coordinator for those 15 formerly communist nations. He is a graduate of Indiana University. He holds a B.A. in government and journalism.
His insight is so great.
This conversation began around a Kurieg at Indiana Bible College when Rev. Turner walked in to the room and stated, “I have tried to explain to my students in class what they are going to need in order to have revival in these times.” What followed was such a wonderful discussion that we invited him to continue the talk here, on the podcast, for you.
Long time listeners may have already enjoyed chapel sermons preached by Rev. Turner, but you will certainly enjoy this interview here on the IBC Podcast.
We are so glad to continue the Expounding the Text series with a new interviewee, longtime IBC instructor, biblical languages extraordinaire, Rev. Jennifer Mast. We sit down with her today and explore John 14:16-18.
Today, we bring to you a sermon from Senior Andrew Christian which was preached this last semester while school was still in session. While many student sermons throughout the year stick out to us, this was one we wanted to share particularly. We hope you enjoy, "The Prosody of Grace" even if you, like us, aren't sure what prosody means.
Prosody: the patterns of rhythm and sound used in poetry: the translator is not obliged to reproduce the prosody of the original.
