David Foster and Katharine McPhee with New Album - Christmas Songs Dec 09, 2022
    Show notes

DAVID FOSTER AND KATHARINE MCPHEE WITH NEW CHRISTMAS ALBUM THIS SEASON
'CHRISTMAS SONGS" OUT NOW ON LOMA VISTA RECORDINGS
FIRST SINGLE, "JINGLE BELL ROCK" OUT NOW
David Foster and Katharine McPhee have not recorded together in 17 years. What better excuse to get back into the studio than Christmas. The two will release their first Christmas album together this holiday season. Titled simply "Christmas Songs" the album unwrapped digitally on Black Friday, November 25th. (CD on December 2nd) The singles Jingle Bell Rock and Blue Christmas, are also available.
The 16 time legendary Grammy winning producer has produced some of the greatest Christmas music of all time with artists such as Michael Bublé, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart and Mary J Blige. It's only fitting he now produces one with his wife, one of the greatest vocalists of today.
Says Foster about the recording, " We haven't recorded together in 17 years so we thought it might be time to do it again! Kat has the most beautiful voice and she doesn't know how to deliver less than a perfect vocal every time! When you make Christmas music, you literally get a free pass to do whatever you like-the freedom for me as a producer was so much fun - no pressure."
Chimes in McPhee, "I haven't been focusing on being a recording artist, but then I married the best record producer and the deal was sealed! We started this process out in our living room for fun and then it turned into a full-fledged, "let's do this for real." David's history with Christmas albums is legendary - it became a labor of love for him."
Look for David and Katharine on TV this holiday season in support of their new Christmas album, starting with their recent interviews on Entertainment Tonight and People Online..
The Fosters also plan a small 6 city east coast tour and will incorporate the new songs into the show. The tour starts December 1 in Stonybrook, NY and ends in Medford, MA on December 8. They will be back at the Wynn Hotel in Vegas on December 16 and 17.
Katharine also has the launch of her KMF Jewelry line launching week of November 7th. She also has TV appearance planned to promote the line.
Having produced albums that have sold over half a billion records globally, David Foster is one of the most successful commercial producers & composers of popular music. Having previously worked with artists like Natalie Cole, Amy Grant, & Michael Bublé, Josh Groban on their own Christmas albums, David is partnering up with his wife, singer-songwriter Katharine McPhee, to release their own rendition of their all time favorite Christmas tunes. A passion project, bringing joy & music to all these holidays.

Sailor Brinkley-Cook - Launches new lifestyle brand, Sacred + Divine Dec 07, 2022
    Show notes

Sailor Brinkley-Cook, daughter of legendary supermodel, Christie Brinkley, is a model, photographer, mental health advocate & body image activist. Sailor is ambassador and the creative director for a new lifestyle brand, Sacred + Divine, creating products that bring sacred rituals through the art of self-care into our everyday lives.
Each product at Sacred + Divine is crafted with intention and purpose. Divine intentions flow into the wax of the candles and are released, along with heavenly scents, with the light of the wick. Sacred, alchemical processes occur with the creation of our angel number jewelry, which is made by hand in Los Angeles with 14k recycled gold and responsibly sourced diamonds. Sacred + Divine Candles are made from food grade wax with a soy coconut blend. Through traditional extraction methods, like distillation, expression, and extraction, we obtain essential oils, isolates, absolutes and resins from plants and flowers that we then blend into our fragrances at high concentrations to bring you a sacred aromatherapeutic experience. Angel numbers work in accordance with numerology, which upholds the notion that each number is connected to a certain vibrational energy or frequency that holds meaning beyond its numeric value, making the spiritual tangible.
In numerology, angel numbers are a repetitive sequence of digits that manifest to convey a divine message inviting you to elevate your energy with Sacred + Divine. Seeing a repeating number is as though your angels are pointing to you to deliver an important message and trying to get your attention and the numbers they send have meanings interpretable manifestations of the Sacred and Divine.
Sailor is best known for advocating for people struggling with mental health, body dysmorphia and eating disorders.
PEOPLE MAGAZINE STORY ON SAILOR BRINKLEY-COOK FROM 11/28/22
Sailor Brinkley-Cook Often Raids Mom Christie Brinkley's Closet: 'I Love Everything She Has'
"It's always those loopholes with moms, where you're like, 'You can't really be that angry. I'm your child,'" she says of borrowing her mom's clothes and not returning them'
    Like mother, like daughter.
Sailor Brinkley-Cook loves to take a peek at what's inside her model mom's closet when she needs something new to wear. The 24-year-old tells PEOPLE that as she grows up, she's realizing more and more that her style is right in line with how her mom, supermodel Christie Brinkley, 68, dresses. In fact, some of the pieces she's swiped from her mom's closet are her most prized possessions.
"Both of us are pretty classic," she says. "We love a white t-shirt. We love a good pair of jeans. We love a trenchcoat, good sweater, a good pair of white sneakers, black boots."
Brinkley-Cook admits that before she found her current classic style, she tried to have an "edgy" vibe before realizing it just wasn't her. "What was I trying to do? I'm not edgy," she tells PEOPLE with a laugh. Instead, she finds comfort in classic pieces, like jeans and hoodies, but isn't shy about grabbing something new from her mom's wardrobe.
"Sometimes I'll ask to borrow something, and I'll be like, 'Oh my God, this is so cute,' and she'll tell me, 'Okay, but you have to give it back.' And then she forgets!" Brinkley-Cook says. She admits that she's held onto a few pieces due to that exact situation, and when she wears them again, her mom remembers where it came from.
"She'll remind me it's hers, and I just tell her she never asked for it back!" Brinkley-Cook tells PEOPLE. "It's always those loopholes with moms, where you're like, 'You can't really be that angry. I'm your child.'"
But some of the clothes Brinkley-Cook has gotten from her mom were actually gifted to her, because the Sacred + Divine creative director admits that she doesn't shop a lot, as it's not something she has the budget for.
When she moved back to the city recently to launch her brand, Brinkley-Cook says she asked her mom if she had any "little things" from her closet she might be able to have. "She gave me my grandmère's old trench coat and it's this stunning beige trench that's been in my family for 40, 50 years, so it's so cool to have that," she says, adding that she also inherited a navy Isaac Mizrahi jacket that she adores.
"Those are the pieces that mean the world to me because they've lived such a life with my mom and now they get to live such a life with me," Brinkley-Cook gushes. "She's definitely got those classic pieces, and I always love everything she has because we're both lovers of those iconic pieces."
Along with sharing her wardrobe, Brinkley has also shared words of wisdom with her daughter, especially as she got into the modeling scene - something Brinkley-Cook didn't necessarily see for herself. Afraid she would just be seen as a "nepotism baby," Brinkley-Cook was hesitant about trying her hand at modeling.
When Brinkley-Cook was just starting out, her mom would tell her that her own career meant that "doors are opened" for her, but she had to put in her own hard work to keep them open and make the most of it.
"I really did," Brinkley-Cook tells PEOPLE of working hard at modeling. "Every room that I walked into, I tried to be the most gracious. I tried to be the most kind. I really got to know everyone on set."
Brinkley told her daughter to absorb everything she could from each set she was on, reminding her that she's only one piece of the "massive machine" when it comes to a photo shoot.
"I tried to really learn as much as I could from the producers, the makeup artists, the hair people, the photographers, the casting directors," Brinkley-Cook shares. "Everyone that works in this industry is so smart and so talented. My mom reminded me that a model is just one part of it all."
    DAILYMAIL.COM STORY ON SAILOR & SACRED+DIVINE FROM 11/22/22
Sailor Brinkley Cook is perhaps best known for following in the footsteps of her famous mother, supermodel Christie Brinkley, but the young model is also attempting to make a name for herself.
Sailor, 24, has launched a new company that sprang from her efforts to deal with anxiety, especially during the pandemic.
Speaking on Today with Hoda and Jenna Tuesday, the young entrepreneur described the impetus for her new company, Sacred + Divine.
'Over the pandemic, I was dealing with probably the worst parts of my anxiety and my therapist told me, "just put your phone down and be completely aware and observant of your surroundings," and I would do that and it created this mindful, very grounding moment for me throughout my day,' she said.
'I started seeing these numbers, these repetitive numbers and I started learning about them, like 111 and 333 and 222, are angel numbers.'
The new company sells not only jewelry, but scented candles and room sprays featuring numbers one through five and seven through nine.
Each repetitive number stands for a feeling or action such as 'manifestation,' 'change,' or 'abundance.'
Sailor explained, 'They really are these universal signs that give us a little bit of hope and I started seeing them everywhere, so it was like a beautiful moment for me of connection.'
'These candles and these necklaces are sort of bringing in those mindful, grounding moments into your everyday life.'
The Dancing with the Stars alum has been open about her struggles with mental health issues, including anxiety and body dysmorphia, explaining, 'I find that the more you speak about these scary things, the less scary they feel.'
'I know that everyone deals with something really hard in their life,' she continued, 'and we're all going through a secret struggle... I hope it will help someone else who deals with similar issues.'
When navigating new situations, the runway veteran often relies on her mom's advice. 'Her number one thing that she always told me to be was to be grateful and gracious.
'So, I really stuck to that and I made it a priority to every room I walked in to to be very grateful and really say hello to everyone and absorb the knowledge that everyone has to give.'
The cover model looked stunning in a sleeveless gold and black midi dress with a boat neck collar, gathered waist and tiered skirt.
Her long blonde locks were styled in loose waves and accessorized with large hoop earrings and one of her Sacred +Divine necklaces for the appearance.
She later donned a black trench coat as she left the NBC studios.

Tiffany and her new album Shadows Dec 01, 2022
    Show notes

    ABOUT TIFFANY AND SHADOWS
Tiffany is back with the announcement of her first new record since 2018's Piece Of Me. Shadows, due November 25, 2022 via Deko Entertainment, is described as a cathartic comeback LP on which Tiffany bares her soul and invites listeners to walk with her into the light. Today, she shares the record's newest single, "I Like The Rain," of which she says: "'I Like The Rain' is about owning your own dysfunction and the people who benefit from it."
Speaking on her forthcoming LP, she continued: "Shadows is about the light and dark of my life, the heartbreak that nobody knows about, when you're trying to be fabulous onstage. My life has never been perfect. But maybe all those things are meant to be. And what helps me more than anything is writing songs."
Shadows includes 11 brand new songs, including the new single "I Like The Rain," as well as stand out tracks "My Everything," "Bed of Nails," and a rocking cover of the Rival Sons track "Keep On Swinging." It will be released in multiple formats, including Digital, CD, and Limited-Edition Pink and Black vinyl, with pop-up album artwork created by multidisciplinary British artist Stuart Semple. This is limited to 250 copies and comes with multiple Tiffany photo inserts, making this a one-of-a-kind collectible piece.
Stuart states, "It's been really exciting to be able to make some new art with Tiffany. Her music was a big part of my childhood. The new record is amazing and I'm so glad to have been able to come up with a visual way to bring it to life. It feels like the whole project is an artwork in it's own right."
The most fascinating artists have both darkness and light. No one understands that duality better than Tiffany. She's the former teen icon with the scars of a lifer. A multi-million-selling phenomenon whose outward success story belies bad romances and bum deals. A genre-blind singer/songwriter who writes starkly personal lyrics that make entire stadiums sing along.
As such, when it came to naming her new studio album, one title called out. "Shadows is about the light and dark of my life," says Tiffany. "The heartbreak that nobody knows about, when you're trying to be fabulous onstage. My life has never been perfect. But maybe all those things are meant to be. And what helps me more than anything is writing songs."
Tiffany's life can be measured in songs. Anyone with even a casual eye on pop culture will remember her breakout in the late-'80s, sparked by the transatlantic #1 smash, "I Think We're Alone Now."
But the fans who have made the journey with her since know that the best stuff came later, as the singer fought her way to the music she burned to record, from 1993's restorative Dreams Never Die, through the pulsing electro bangers of 2005's Dust Off And Dance, right up to 2018's highly acclaimed Pieces Of Me. "It's an album highlighting an artist at the top of their game," wrote Get Ready To Rock of the latter, "producing music from the heart."
"It's been a long journey to get back," reflects the singer. "There can be a lot of discouragement, naysayers, and obstacles. But you've got to keep on swinging. You've got to have a lion heart. For Shadows, I found the right people and that made me bold."
The songs that Tiffany brought to the Shadows sessions at Rockfield Studios - some rowdy and brittle, others tender and feather-soft - are a candid snapshot of her life as she steps into her fifth decade. But listen a little harder and you'll hear everything that has led her here, for better and worse.
Born in Norwalk, California, on October 2nd, 1971 - and carrying a tune from the age of two - Tiffany barely remembers her life before the stage. She was a pageant girl, then a dancer, before, aged nine, she sang at a friend's birthday party and the clocks stopped. "There I was, nine years old, and I sounded like a 30-year-old woman," she recalls. "Not being in the music industry, my parents had no idea how to begin, but we just started there."
Even in the Golden State, Tiffany's home life came with storm clouds. "My parents were lovely people, but there were issues with alcohol, a turmoil there," she says. "You'd hear the crying at night, the screaming, the rows, and wonder if you're even going to have a place to stay the next day."
Through the chaos, music was her lifeline. In the early-'80s, all over San Diego, from the fairgrounds of Del Mar to the country music circuit, Tiffany was a livewire presence, singing out her heart and soaking up the wisdom of the greats whose orbit she now moved in. "From artists like Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and George Jones, I learnt to live out loud," she reflects. "They woke up and that's who they were. They lived their life through music."
All the while, Tiffany was feeding the insatiable muse that is evident on Shadows. "I had an older cousin who was listening to AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Heart," she reflects. "I'd ask my best friend to buy my records at the music store when I was too embarrassed, because I had Barbra Streisand, Ozzy Osbourne, and James Taylor. I love Joni Mitchell. Joan Baez. Huge Bob Dylan fan. And with artists like Stevie Nicks and Deborah Harry, it wasn't just the music that inspired me, it was their strength. These are women who have made it through the good, the bad and the ugly."
The passing decades would see Tiffany suffering her own body blows, from the painful court case in which she fought her parents for control of her career to the relationships that rose and fell in the public eye. "Sometimes," she laughs darkly, "my girlfriends will make a joke and say, 'You just date the same person over and over again...'"
But while a lesser artist might retreat to lick their wounds, Tiffany always used her hard-won experience as rocket fuel. Driven by that unmistakable grit-and-honey voice, Shadows feels wrenched from the depths, from the defiant primal-scream rocker "Cried For The Last Time" to the bruised electro ballad "I'll Meet You Anywhere." "On this album, there's a pop base with rock edge," she considers. "There's a definite retro sound on songs like 'Shadows' and 'Lost Inside. 'They have that punky, '80s, Go-Gos, Blondie, Pat Benatar kinda feel with a more modern rock attitude. I want people to sing along."
Producer Mark Alberici and the first-call studio band ensured that Shadows roars from the speakers. But perhaps the record's greatest power comes from Tiffany's unflinching lyrics. "'I Like The Rain' is saying that I almost choose the chaos in my life," she says of the riff-driven groove, "while 'You're My Everything' was about having a big row with my boyfriend, but instead of the end of our relationship being ugly, I wanted it to be beautiful."
Elsewhere, smoky torch song "Bed Of Nails" was so heartfelt that Tiffany caught the vocal in a single late-night take. "It's quite a dark song and I just purged myself. I walked up to the mic and it was literally one pass, which is what you hear on the record. I'm writing about a relationship where two people aren't getting what they want out of it, yet they've sacrificed a lot to be there. At the time, my boyfriend and I were both divorcing other people. With a lot of these songs, I'm sharing my vulnerability with you."
All of our lives come with shadows. But with her latest studio album, Tiffany invites her fans to walk with her into the light. "These last few years, we've all been through a really hard time," she considers. "People have been through divorces, lost jobs, family members, friends. I know I have. You have to carry on, but there's a sadness and loneliness.
"That's where music comes in," she counters. "It bonds people. For me, it recharges my batteries, getting that validation, seeing those smiles, getting the fans to go on the next journey with me. Who knows where I'm going next? But I'm a lifer. There's no plan B. I think I'm doing my best material now. I know myself more - and I'm singing the best I ever have..."
