Melissa Barba coined “The Queen Latina” to represent a fully-embodied Hispanic woman who owns her life and works diligently to increase her value, experience, and joy. As an immigrant, Melissa is no stranger to adversity and hard work. Listening to the voice, Melissa took a huge leap of faith and risked everything she knew to pursue something bigger. With two young children in tow, she found herself in a new country without a job, without funds, alone, and on her own. From there, Melissa created her own adventure and applied her talents to become a self-made business owner. Through extensive inquiry, application, and personal development, Melissa awakened her own queen within. She embodies health, joy, passion, happiness, motherhood, and success; reaching the top 6% of income in the United States as a minority single mother.
The reason why I wrote this book is because just like you, I’ve had trials and tribulations. I’m here because I want to share with you 1) What’s possible if you dare to dream; and, 2) how to reach those dreams in a faster, easier way.
I struggled a lot for many years, sometimes financially, sometimes emotionally. I was trapped in a way of thinking that didn’t support my success. It wasn’t all bad, I’ve had my good times and my tough times. However there were definitely more than a few defining moments in my life. The problem is that this way of thinking was unconscious.
As I learned to become more conscious and intentional, I went from following the direction of others to creating my own direction. I went from working at a very early age, marrying young, and following my family’s religion to leaving my former faith, ending my marriage, and becoming empowered and whole as a single mother. I definitely struggled along the way as a single mom and faced extreme emotional and financial pressure. Over the last decade, it has been my obsession and passion to continuously discover, learn, and apply different methods to help my life get better, faster. I’d love for you to benefit from this just as much as I have.
I intend to provide you with as many resources as possible to help you increase the quality of all areas of your life.

Amanda Chay, a passionate advocate for lupus awareness, found herself frustrated when diagnosed with lupus and unable to find relatable stories. In search of approachable information from trusted experts, Amanda embarked on a mission to share her experiences and insights.
In response to the challenges faced by her and others with lupus, Amanda authored "The Girlfriend’s Guide to Lupus," a fearless and informative book. Through her writing, she aims to provide accessible knowledge from scientific articles, insights from podcasts, encouragement from group chats, and practical advice for leading happier, healthier lives.
As a lupus warrior and advocate, Amanda recognizes the confusion and helplessness experienced by family and friends who may not understand how to support someone with lupus. Through her book, she endeavors to bridge this gap and offer tools and support akin to guidance from the smartest, most helpful girlfriends.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Amanda Chay demonstrated her feisty spirit early on, speaking out against injustices and challenging the dress code at her middle school. She pursued a career in the healthcare industry, becoming a national sales director and business owner focused on helping people lead less stressful, healthier lives through training and retreats at Wonderment.
For over two decades, Amanda considered herself a healthy individual, actively teaching group fitness and yoga classes while maintaining a fulfilling personal life. However, she faced the challenge of an invisible illness when diagnosed with Sjogren’s disorder in 2013. Despite initial resistance to medication and management, Amanda's journey led to a formal lupus diagnosis in 2021, specifically systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Through her story, Amanda Chay strives to raise awareness about lupus and inspire others on their own journeys with autoimmune disorders.

Christina Dent - A Foster Mom's Discovery of an Unexpected Solution to Drugs and Addiction Dec 09, 2023

Christina is an author, TEDx speaker, and perpetual question-asker. She grew up in a conservative, Christian home and earned a degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Christian Ministry from Belhaven University.
As a young adult, Christina assumed she had a solid understanding of how the world works. That changed when she and her husband became foster parents in 2014. The neat bow she had tied around her mental box of how the world works began to unravel.
What had previously been a category of people in her mind, people addicted to drugs, now had a name, face, and an infant son sleeping in the extra bedroom down the hall. Her foster care experience gave her an up-close look at the realities of addiction, drug use, and the far-reaching impact of our drug laws.
This became the catalyst for months of reading, questions, and listening as she tried to reconcile her beliefs as a Christian with the pain and suffering she saw first-hand. What she learned changed her mind. The laws she thought were the answer to keep people from using drugs she now saw as causing more harm than help to people made in God’s image.
Christina founded End It For Good out of her desire to invite others to listen to the voices directly impacted by our drug laws. She hopes that more people will explore the root causes of drug-related harm and consider a different approach. She wrote the book Curious: A Foster Mom's Discovery of an Unexpected Solution to Drugs and Addiction to share her story and the research and experiences that changed her mind about the best path forward to help people thrive, even in a world where harmful drugs exist.
Christina is married to her college sweetheart Thomas, and they live in Ridgeland, MS, with their three sons. On the weekends, you can find her biking, in a hammock reading a biography, or playing board games with the family.

Morgan McCarver's Upcoming book - God the Artist: Revealing God’s Creative Side Through Pottery Dec 07, 2023

Morgan McCarver was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Her work is inspired by her female mentors of past and present, as well as her connection to Victorian corsetry through her scoliosis journey. She received an art degree with a ceramics concentration and a double minor in art history and business in 2019 from Anderson University in Anderson, SC. McCarver had the honor of receiving the 2019 Outstanding Art Major Ceramics Award her senior year. As a 2020 701 Center for Contemporary Art prize finalist, she had the honor of being the youngest artist to ever make it that far. She is a multi-award-winning artist who recently received an Artist Support Grant to attend a national ceramics conference. She has had the honor of displaying her work in 2 solo exhibitions, “FemininiTEA” 2020 and “The Strength of a Wildflower” 2022. She recently completed a residency at Edgewood Cottage in Blowing Rock Summer 2023 and participated 2022 as well. McCarver has studios in Asheville, NC and Spartanburg, SC. Her art can be found in various galleries around the Carolinas and Tennessee. Her first book, “God the Artist: Revealing God’s Creative Side Through Pottery,” will be released with Morgan James Publishing January 9, 2024. ABOUT MARCUS SCRIBNER
Marcus is most notable for playing Anthony Anderson's son 'Andre Jr.' on ABC-TV's Black-ish, alongside Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. Earlier this year and after four consecutive nominations, Marcus scored the NAACP Image Award in the category of 'Outstanding Supporting Actor' for his work on Black-ish. Marcus is carrying on his role of 'Andre Jr.' in the Freeform spinoff of the series, Grown-ish.
Marcus can next be found in the Daniel Goldhaber directed feature and TIFF 2022 participant How To Blow Up a Pipeline alongside Lukas Gage and distributed by Neon, which released in theaters to raving reviews.
Marcus is also featured in Netflix's feature film Along for the Ride, written by Sofia Alvarez, alongside Kate Bosworth and Emma Pasarow. Russ Haddad, 54, also known as A.A. Winston, has had a full range of life experiences,
starting with the death of his father when he was 12 years old.
When not writing poetry, he is the business development manager for the NC Craft Brewers Guild. His professional background ranges from marketing operations through a variety of positions in radio, journalism, tourism/economic development and a series of public service positions. But he always had a love for writing dating back to high school. He turned toward poetry accidentally, dipping his toes in the genre during high school. Poetry became his form of coping through life’s ups and downs, reinvigorating that love during the COVID pandemic. He rediscovered his enjoyment of putting words to paper to express himself and decided to publish his works to share feelings in hopes others relate.
Originally from Massachusetts, Russ now lives in Chapel Hill, NC with his wife, and has a son in Boston.

Neal Fisher - A Unified Man - Building a Nation from Within Nov 21, 2023

Neal Fisher lost eight years of his life due to poor financial decisions that resulted in a substantial burden of debt. These financial missteps were a consequence of his immature grandiosity and detrimental daily habits. Simultaneously, he found himself divorced and in a state of physical disarray.
Recognizing that every problem stems from conflict or flaws within the mind, Neal identified the singular source of his struggles as a flawed character. Despite these challenges, he overcame them by resolving his internal division and uniting his mind and body. This involved bridging the gap between the conscious and subconscious to achieve what he terms the Ultraconscious.
The Ultraconscious, according to Neal, is the unborn entity embodying our highest and best selves. It involves relinquishing ego control and allowing the source to flow through us. Now, Neal is dedicated to helping individuals uncover their true individuality and strength, enabling them to attain spiritual freedom regardless of their physical circumstances.
Neal believes in a holistic approach that combines form and intellect, skill and substance. He emphasizes that the process of cultivating genius is simple but not easy. Hybrid mastery, as he calls it, involves nurturing both the mind and body to access the source clearly. This, according to Neal, is the path to becoming a Unified Man.
A Unified Man, in Neal's philosophy, is characterized by clarity, strength, and control. Such an individual rules their internal territory, having built a Nation from Within. Neal Fisher's mission is to guide people on this transformative journey toward becoming Unified Men.
