The Oakville Blobs: Sky Jelly or Government Cover-Up? | 279 Mar 14, 2022

Show notes

We know the saying is "there’s always room for Jell-O", but maybe not when it falls from the sky and is full of human white blood cells. Or at least that is what the population of Oakville, Washington would have us believe after they experience this very thing in 1994. Six times over a period of three weeks the region was plagued with gelatinous blobs falling from the sky. They made residents sick, killed pets, and are still unsolved. What fell from the sky in Washington State? Was the U.S. government behind the whole thing? Why does Cobra Commanders Weather Dominator make Conspiracy Bot so giddy? We take a crack at answering those and many more question on the podcast that truly always DOES have room for Jell-O – Hysteria 51.

The Red Barn Murder | 278 Mar 07, 2022

Show notes

“Come all you Thoughtless Young men, a Warning Take by Me, And Think on My unhappy Fate to Be Hanged on a Tree; my Name is William Corder, to You I Do declare, I Courted Maria Marten, most Beautiful and Fair.

I Promised I would Marry Her upon a Certain Day, instead of That, I Was resolved to Take her Life away. I Went into her Father's House the 18th Day of May, Saying, my Dear Maria, we will Fix the Wedding Day.

If You will Meet me At the Red barn, as Sure as I have Life, I Will take You to Ipswich Town, and There make You, my Wife; I Then went Home and Fetched my Gun, my Pickaxe And my Spade, I Went into the Red-barn, and There I Dug her Grave.”

So began a ballad printed in a broadsheet in 1827 detailing the infamous Red Barn Murder. It's the tale of the killing Maria Marten by William Corden. And this story is a doozy! We are talking Bastard Kids, Cross Dressing, and of course; Murder! But, let's not forget the ties to Spring-heeled Jack, Mole Spuds. Public Execution, Mole Spuds again because heck yeah, AND, get this, a book bound in the skin of the executed outlining the tale of said execution. Oh, and don't forget, the ghost of the murdered solved her own case (and that part was even admitted as evidence in court). So hold onto your butts, or at least the skin from said butts, it’s The Red Barn Murder this week on Hysteria 51

Operation Highjump: Redux | 276 Feb 21, 2022

Show notes

They say you can't go home again. But they never said you can't go Antarctica in search of secret Nazi bases…again! That's what the fellas are doing this week as they dive in to Operation Highjump…again. H51 started almost 6 years ago examining this bizarre military operation / journey to the Hollow Earth in the first episode, so we thought it high time to look at it again. And don't worry, this isn't reheated leftovers from that old episode - the fellas are back in prime form to take another stab at what Rear Admiral Byrd was up to. Was this all a cover-up so the US could obtain the natural resources Antarctica has to offer? Were Nazi’s really getting technologies from aliens in the hollow earth? Are altimeters really that important? (Spoiler Alert - YES) Plus, John is back in his hosting chair, C-Bot has 'robot jokes' to share, and the fellas make a special announcement (not THAT kind - this isn't an after-school special.) All of that and more on the podcast that doesn’t always redo the exact same topic from past episodes, but when we do you better believe it’ll involve altimeters - Hysteria 51.

Hunting Bigfoot | 275 Feb 14, 2022

Show notes

Ugh, Bigfoot sucks to find, am I right??? But that didn't stop John Green from spending the last decade traipsing into the woods of the Pacific Northwest to try and find the elusive "Primate". And, it didn't stop Taylor Guterson who joins us this week from spending 3 years following his and documenting his life both as a Bigfoot hunter and his declining attachments to reality. Finding Bigfoot is a film that skillfully melds the worlds of narrative feature and documentary to capture this portrait of a broken man obsessively pursuing personal and professional redemption in a world where many of those close to him think he's crazy. Plus, David Flora schools us on the finer points of correspondence school parapsychology degreases, Conspiracy Bot has trouble with names, and Brent ponders if John is still out because he is trying to satiate his newborns hunger for human flesh, All that and more this week on the podcast 4 out of 5 Sasquatch recommend - Hysteria 51.

Roundtable: Barney and Betty Hill | 274 Feb 11, 2022

Show notes

60 Years! 60 Years have gone by since Barney and Betty had their alleged abduction experience. Now, you've heard us drone on about them enough. It's time to get some new, fresh perspectives. Rob Kristoffersen of Our Strange Skies and David Flora of Blurry Photos join Brent to talk what we have learned from this case in the 6 decades that have passed since that terrifying night in New Hampshire. How has it shaped pop culture? Is there new evidence? Was it all just a hoax or a terrifying true experience? We break it down this week in a roundtable discussion of the case with so many names: The Hill Abduction, The Zeta Reticuli Incident, The Interrupted Journey... Whatever you call it, it's this week on Hysteria 51

Aftermath: Barney and Betty Hill - Revisited | 273 Feb 09, 2022

Show notes

This week we revisit the Betty and Barney Hill Adduction. We are re-releasing our previous two parter. Then, this Friday, we will take a fresh look at the case with new eyes and see if any new evidence has came out and how this case has shaped ufology.

Original DescriptionIn last week’s episode we learned about Barney and Betty Hill. A nice couple from New Hampshire that said they were abducted by aliens back in the early 60s. The problem was, they couldn’t really remember what happened. Did they learn the secrets of interstellar travel? Were they experimented on? Exactly how many anal probes were involved? The answer to these questions and more were missing along with their memories. So, the Hills did what any sensible couple would do – they visited a hypnotist. The results of those sessions, the aftermath of their story going public, and our theories on what really happened are all in this week’s edition of the show. Plus, Carl Sagan joins us (sort of), Conspiracy Bot takes another step towards our eventual demise, and we take a skeptical look at Stanton Friedman – the world’s foremost expert on alien abductions he can profit from. All of that and more on the podcast you can’t live with, but can live without (seriously, you can’t move in) – Hysteria 51.

Abduction: Barney and Betty Hill - Revisited | 272 Feb 07, 2022

Show notes

Original DescriptionAlien abductions have a lot in common with first dates. They’re weird, you aren’t sure how they’ll end, and you get touched in fairly uncomfortable places…no, not like the back of a Volkswagen. The first modern, recorded example of these in the US happened September 19th, 1961 in rural New Hampshire. Barney and Betty Hill were on their way back from Canada (of course) when they say they had a close encounter. Did it really happen? If so, what did the aliens want? And why aren’t UFOs referred to as flying pancakes? The boys are joined by author and Mok’bara (Klingon martial art) expert Michael Paul Gonzalez, Conspiracy Bot abuses Flintstones vitamins, and the eerie similarities between aliens and the British are explored. All of that plus Robert Stack’s trench coat on the podcast that you aren’t mad at, just really disappointed in…Hysteria 51.

Commie Humanzees and the Hybrid Debate | 271 Jan 31, 2022

Show notes

Lions and tigers and bears, all cross bred with humans… oh my! Human animal hybrids have been talked about and envisioned as long as humans have been telling stories. From mad scientist movies to ancient biblical stories, they have caught the attention of us all… But what if they weren’t just a thought experiment? What if the possibility of cross-species breeding was not only real, but had taken place? Well, it has been tried in the past, and the future of experimentation is freer than you think. We explore the ins and outs of playing God this week on Hysteria 51

Arrival of the Light Beings w/ Linda Haley | 270 Jan 24, 2022

It's a doozy of an episode this week as Linda Haley joins us to talk her new book. Linda is the founder and executive director of The Reiki Center, a comprehensive natural wellness center for people and their pets! She is a Reiki Master Teacher, Advanced Craniosacral Therapist and practitioner of multiple natural therapies. But more importantly to H51, Linda says that after decades of contacts by non-human messengers, she has decided to share their urgent appeal for greater understanding of spiritual truths, the importance of a deeper connection to Source and why these beings are now advancing toward Earth. And, not one to go alone, Brent is joined by David Flora who is taking over co-hosting duties for John while he is out. All that and more on the podcast that gets their enlightenment from all the fires our robot sets - Hysteria 51

Book Description:Reports of unidentified flying objects are increasing across the globe. On June 25, 2021, the Pentagon released a 9-page report to Congress on sightings by the U.S. Navy of unidentified aerial phenomena; a more extensive accounting is expected to be made public in the near future. Author Linda Haley has released "Arrival of the Light Beings: How to Prepare for the Shift and Contact with Extraterrestrials," providing context to these reports and shedding light on the objectives of extraterrestrials and multidimensional beings. In "Arrival of the Light Beings," Haley offers an educational experience enlightening readers on the reality of life beyond Earth which was inspired by the author's real-life experiences. Written in the style of narrative fiction, the book is an autobiography of the author's growing awakening and acceptance of her role in the planet's evolution.
