On July 18, 2018, the racing world was given the sad news that Morris Nunn had passed away.
Nunn was best known for engineering the back-to-back-to-back championships with Target Chip Ganassi Racing and its drivers Alex Zanardi (1997, 1998) and Juan Montoya (1999).
Prior to his foray in American open-wheel racing, he spent the 70s and 80s working in Formula 1, and after this three-peat of championships with Ganassi, he started his own Champ Car, and eventually, IndyCar team in 2000.
One of Nunn's former mechanics on his Champ Car and IndyCar team, Sam Goldsmith, joins the podcast to share stories from his time with the team. We laughed, we cried, and more importantly, had a good time reminiscing about the "good old days."
Thanks to Sam for taking the time to share some stories.
