Ben is the editor for Mr. Sunday Movies, as well as an amazing writer, filmmaker, YouTuber, musician and actor in his own right. We've known each other for several years, and we were supposed to meet up for lunch when I was in England, but it never worked out. As such, this was the first time we've ever talked face to face; it's really just a casual conversation between two creatives sharing their experiences with each other. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Johnathon and I have been DMing back and forth for the past few weeks talking constantly about the recent controversy around Hamilton, so we figured it was time to publicly record and post our thoughts about it so that we can be incriminated for our opinions in 5 years. Today I'm sitting down with my buddy Kevin McCreary, AKA Say Goodnight Kevin on YouTube, to talk about his channel, his critiques of Christian movies, and lots of other random stuff. I think we talked about America's Got Talent for some reason? And football? And the movie Knives Out, for a while? Lots of half-baked opinions with probably incorrect facts. It was a good time.

HITOP FILMS: Making Video Essays, YouTube Insecurities, and MCU Hot Takes Sep 16, 2019

Hey guys! This is the first official "guest episode" of HP1: The Podcast, which should start being a weekly or biweekly thing for the foreseeable future, with lots of my fellow YouTube film buds comin' on to casually hang out and talk about whatever comes to mind, whether it's behind the scenes stuff or current pop culture nonsense. You know what they say: a group of white men is called a podcast. And that's...I guess, uh, true, yep. I hope you enjoy anyway.

The first hour of this episode is mostly about our creative process and video essay behind the scenes. Discussion about MCU and superhero stuff (which, let's be honest, is probably what you really came for) starts around 1:06:00.
