How To Bet the Florida Derby Mar 29, 2019
    Show notes

The Kentucky Derby favorite could come from the Florida Derby, as Hidden Scroll looks to rebound from his fourth-place behind Code of Honor and Bourbon War in the Fountain of Youth, Maximum Security looks to breakout in his stakes debut, and Harvey Wallbanger is out to prove his Holy Bull was no fluke. All that plus Current's return to dirt, and the intriguing maiden Bodexpress!

Danny Zucker of Predicteform.com discusses with Ed DeRosa of Brisnet.com how to bet the Florida Derby, including fair odds for the key contenders and how to squeeze value from the known favorites.

How To Bet the 2019 Louisiana Derby Mar 19, 2019
    Show notes

How to bet the Louisiana Derby depends on what you think of War of Will, the Lecomte-Risen Star winner looking to join International Star as the only horse to sweep Fair Grounds' Kentucky Derby points series.

The War Front colt closed as the 12.5-to-1 third choice in Kentucky Derby Future Wager 3, and a win in this race would likely guarantee he is one of the top choices at Churchill Downs.

Is a win in this race a certainty? BetAmerica.com's Ed DeRosa and Fair Grounds / Churchill racing analyst Joe Kristufek peg his chances in the 4-to-5 to even money range. More action than that could mean more opportunity on others, but who are the alternatives?

How To Bet the Rebel Stakes Mar 15, 2019
    Show notes

What was to have been the $1-million Rebel Stakes with 85 Kentucky Derby points up for grabs is now a pair of $750,000 Rebel Stakes worth 63.75 each, including 37.5 to the winners.

And the extra race, money, and points attracted some extra good horses, including a pair of undefeated two-year-olds from Racing Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert making their three-year-old debuts: champion Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Game Winner and Grade 1 winner Improbable. Baffert has won 6 of the past 9 Rebel Stakes, including the 2015 edition with eventual Triple Crown champion Horse of the Year American Pharoah.

James Scully of Brisnet.com joins Ed DeRosa of the BetAmerica.com Radio Network to discuss wagering on both divisions of the Rebel. Can Baffert be opposed? Which is his more likely winner? Ed and James disagree on these topics and more!

    Show notes

No San Felipe Stakes? No problem! It's still a huge weekend on the Kentucky Derby trail with the Gotham Stakes, Tampa Bay Derby, and Jeff Ruby Steaks all offering lucrative points to the First Saturday in May.

Emily Gullikson of OptixEQ joins Ed DeRosa to discuss handicapping the Tampa Bay Derby and Gotham Stakes as well as how to watch races for clues on potential performance further down the Derby trail--an especially germane topic as Saturday's races coincide with Kentucky Derby Future Wager 3 that opens Friday and closes Sunday.

How To Bet Horse Racing Podcast: The Fountain of Youth Stakes Feb 28, 2019
    Show notes

The Kentucky Derby Championship Series continues with the Fountain of Youth Stakes on Saturday at Gulfstream Park, and it's a doozy of a race with 11 Triple Crown hopefuls entered, including hot maiden Hidden Scroll making just the second start of his career and last year's Nashua Stakes winner Vekoma making his three-year-old debut.

For FREE Brisnet.com Ultimate Past Performances for the race, CLICK HERE, and for all handicapping reports, CLICK HERE.

Danny Zucker of Predicteform.com joins host Ed DeRosa of the BetAmerica.com Radio Network to discuss the Fountain of Youth with special emphasis on wagering against likely favorite Hidden Scroll. Danny, in particular, likes some bigger prices in this race.

How To Bet Horse Racing Podcast, betting with the works Feb 22, 2019
    Show notes

With an "off" week on the Kentucky Derby trail, the How To Bet Horse Racing podcast shifts to some evergreen content as BetAmerica's Ed DeRosa welcomes clocker Bruno DeJulio to the show.

Also an accomplished breeder, owner, and sales consultant, DeJulio is most known for his With The Works workout report that is available daily at Brisnet.com. He joins the How To Bet Horse Racing Podcast to discuss how best to use (and not use!) his workout report as a handicapping and wagering tool.

The pair also touch on this year's Kentucky Derby trail and the importance of developing mentor and mentee relationships within the Thoroughbred industry.
