    A new Cato national survey finds that self- censorship is on the rise in the United States. Nearly two-thirds-62%-of Americans say the political climate these days prevents them from saying things they believe because others might find them offensive. The share of Americans who self- censor has risen several points since 2017 when 58% of Americans agreed with this statement. We talk with Aaron Holt a labor and employment attorney with Cozen O’Connor.

    The presumptive Democratic nominee is unlikely to have a running mate announcement before next week. Joe Biden spent the past weekend out of the public eye, changing scenery with a trip to his Rehoboth Beach getaway as he prepares to narrow his vice presidential short list ahead of one-on-one meetings with the finalists expected this week.

    We must learn from the shutdown mistakes. A new report from the Heritage Foundation that looked at 10 different nations shows that full lockdowns of society by governments don’t result in better health outcomes in this pandemic than more targeted approaches. Dr. Vance Ginn, chief economist for the Texas Public Policy Foundation calls in to talk about this recent finding.
    We talk with political strategist Robert Gonzalez about the Trump campaign relaunch with ads that focus on critical early voting states. The re-launch comes after new campaign manager Bill Stepien conducted a review. The Trump campaign resumed airing national ads on Monday with what officials called a "smarter, more strategic" approach focused on early voting states, after hitting pause in order to review their tactics.
