Pollster John Zogby, founder and senior partner with John Zogby Strategies calls in to talk all things Trump, Biden and the election. Four little-noticed trends that suggest Trump could have an edge in November. Do the polls imply a Biden wave on November 3rd? Or are we seeing a repeat of 2016 when almost nobody predicted Trump would — or even could — win? There are four little-discussed trends that worry Biden supporters.
Harris County, Texas - July 24, 2020, Umair A. Shah, MD, MPH, Executive Director of Harris County Public Health (HCPH) and Local Health Authority for Harris County, and David Persse, MD, FACEP, FAEMS, Local Health Authority for the Houston Health Department, today signed a joint public health order requiring all public and non-religious private schools in Harris County to remain closed to in-person instruction until at least September 8. The start of on-campus instruction and activity may be delayed further based on ongoing monitoring and assessment of public health mitigation conditions. We speak with Barbers Hill ISD Superintendent Greg Poole; his district has 80% of kids in classrooms.
Parler, the People-driven social platform, is criticizing Twitter and the Cancel-Mob, with which it has a longstanding codependent relationship. Both have rushed to judgment with respect to the conduct of a conservative male teenager, Kyle Rittenhouse. The offending tweet, by independent journalist and privacy activist Cassandra Fairbanks, consisted of a single short sentence: “Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing wrong.” According to Twitter, this tweet “incited violence,” and so the publisher locked down Ms. Fairbanks’ account until she removed it. Calling in to talk on this issue is The CEO of Parler, John Hatze.

It’s Funny How The Left Touted The Polls In 2016 – And Were Wrong | 09-03-20 Sep 03, 2020
    Show notes

Jimmy Barrett and Shara Fryer take you through the stories that matter on the morning of 09/03/2020.
Rasmussen Reports noticed something very fishy about polling. It’s funny how the left touted the polls in 2016 – and were wrong. They’ve been doing the same thing for the past 3-months but now that real polls show Trump ahead, the left is abandoning the polls. Political strategist Ryan Cassin calls in to break down this ongoing issue.
An affordable alternative to major hospital systems? One would think, in these days of COVID-19, that America’s doctors and patients are as reliant on our hospitals as they’ve ever been, and that they’re going to stay that way. Guess again. Today, even as the health care system and the economy face strains from the coronavirus and its complications, scores of doctors and patients are avoiding large bureaucratic hospitals and instead flocking toward leaner and meaner models of health care. Professional providers of all types -- from surgeons to drugstore owners -- are focusing on innovation. Even better, they’re now treating patients as consumers who value quality care at reasonable prices they can know in advance. We speak with David Balat who is the Director of the Right on Healthcare Initiative with The Texas Public Policy Foundation.
No clear election winner? Markets are already preparing for those possibilities. Just weeks ahead of the Trump-Biden showdown, spikes are seen in ‘implied volatility’ forecasts. Calling in is Certified Financial Educator Derrick Kinney.
