Episode 336: Writing Month - Short Bite - Speech to Text Aug 10, 2023

Show notes

Struggling writers can benefit from speech-to-text tools. They allow private dictation without parent transcription. Kids can express thoughts freely without waiting for typing. However, the technology isn’t perfect. Transcripts need proofreading, lack punctuation, and require clear enunciation. Still, free options like Google Docs and Microsoft Dictate make speech-to-text more accessible. By overcoming transcription barriers, these tools help kids get ideas out quickly. Join us as we discuss the value of leveraging speech-to-text to empower young writers.
