    125: Nest's New Thermostat and DeWalt's 20V Max Blower Sep 07, 2015

    Nest came out with their 3rd generation thermostat which is slimmer and and has a bigger display.

    The price is still $249.

    It senses when you’re home and when you’re not and adjust your energy usage.

    Plus you can control the temperature of the Nest via it’s app.

    DeWalt came out with their new 20V Max leaf blower.

    It’s product code is DCBL720P1.

    You can use the 20V Max battery from this blower with other DeWalt tools and vice versa.

    118: Five Winter Prep Tips to Lower Heating Bills Aug 27, 2015

    What can you do to lower your winter heating bills?

    Today’s lesson discusses 5 winter prep tips

    1. Add more attic insulation, you should have about 18 inches

    2. Install a frost-free hose bibb to prevent pipes from freezing

    3. Consider Roxul insulation for walls if you have them open for remodeling

    4. Apply Great Stuff expanding foam to gaps and cracks along outside walls or pipes

    5. Use Frost King outlet sealers to prevent drafts from outlets and switches on exterior walls

    Just doing one or two of these tips could make a serious dent in your heating bill.
