    History Is Dank

Strider Wilson hosts a podcast delving into history through the perspective of a mature erudite bro. He was one unit away from a history minor at U.C. San Diego, but he does’t let that stop him from examining what it would have been like to be a bro posted up on Bunker Hill or uncovering what the chillest aspect of surrealist art is. Buckle up because Strider will not only venture into humanity’s shared past. He will venture within himself. Asking real questions such as, “exactly how tight are pirates,” or “what if he stayed that extra semester in school,” “would my life have been danker?” Strider firmly believes that history is tight because we all should for sure blaze our own trails… but in what direction?

What went down during the Dark Ages? The era between the fall of Rome in the West and the rise of Knights and Nobels in Europe? Was it akin to that time of night when you take no chase shot with your boys and snap back to reality a few hours later eating a Reuben sandwich solo in your buddy's kitchen? Strider seeks to answer these questions and much more about the period otherwise known as the Early Middle Age.

For the longest time the only thing Strider's grandpa talked about was, "attractive waitresses." So, Strider decided to do something about it. He researched and memorized facts about baseball then dropped this newly acquired knowledge into convos. Grandpa Wilson is being way less of a pervert now. Perhaps this episode will help deepen your relationship with the elder generation. Also, Aaron is an absolute beast when it comes to off the top of the dome knowledge about any and all things related to the diamond.

Many call July 14th just another day. The French call it Bastille Day. Well, Strider Wilson hereby dubs it... Cameron Poe Day! His heroics need to stretch beyond Lerner airfield and the Las Vegas strip. This episode is dedicated to all ripped dudes with long hair who do care... about, "saving the mother $#!%ing day."

There is nothing better than a boys trip! Perhaps a nice road trip with one you love, your sig-oth? Well, Ibn Battuta took a solo journey of about 75,000 miles alone. Ibn took a 25 year road trip all over Afro-Eurasia in the 1300's. Strider explores some of Ibn's 14th century perspective.

Strider has been to Vegas upwards of 30 times. He has been there 31 times. Most recently for a pool party that featured his favorite DJ. It was half buzzed and totally soaked that he thought... this city that turns so many of us broke has a rich history. One can't avoid mafia talk when it comes to early Vegas. Strider takes us on a quick journey from desert meadow lands, past Fremont st. speakeasies, through the mob strip and up to the modern mega resorts.

Strider has seen Braveheart upwards of 50 times in his life. Honestly, probably more. Many Friday nights he'd have to call an audible mid pre-game and just stay in if it was on TNT or AMC. In Summary, he is an expert in the film. Today however, he will look at this legit movie through a strictly historical lens. It's ripe time to learn something new about an old love.

Strider believes heavily that horniness is the, "all spark," of all societies. Evidence can be found in many areas, and modern engineering is no exception. The dong shaped symbolism of drilling a tube shaped tunnel under an iconic city and running a train through is a marvel and bastion of progress.
