North Platte would become a base of operations for an evil woman. There really is no other way to describe Annie Cook. Her crimes were mind boggling. The effects of her deeds have continued on to our present era through supernatural activity.

    Ep. 463 - The Blennerhassett Hotel Dec 01, 2022
    Show notes

The Blennerhassett Hotel is the oldest hotel in West Virginia and is located in Parkersburg. The hotel was named for a couple who first settled the nearby Blennerhassett Island. Their story is one mired in political persecution, scandal and conspiracy. They eventually were forced to flee the area, but their name remains an imprint here. The hotel became a place for the millionaires of the time to find lodging. On opening day in 1889, the hotel featured both gas and electricity. Today, the hotel still offers elegant accommodations with modern amenities and a few ghosts. Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of the Blennerhassett Hotel. The Moment in Oddity features sax during surgery and This Month in History features Christopher Columbus arriving in Hispaniola. Our location was suggested by Rylee Burkman.

Phantasmal Crime 6 - The Keddie Cabin Murders Nov 08, 2022
    Show notes

Nature is supposed to be a place of peace. But sometimes this can also be a place of danger. Remote natural places are favorite dumping grounds for murderers. The recent murder of Gabby Petito is proof of that. Natural places make easier hunting grounds. A mountain resort or lodge like the Keddie Resort could easily be one of these places. It did indeed become one in 1981. And the horrific murders that happened here remain unsolved today.
