The Internet Judged Patrick Clancy Without Seeing THIS Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

The internet built an entire conspiracy theory around the way Patrick Clancy looked on the witness stand. He didn't cry the right way. He didn't grieve the right way. So they decided he must be guilty of something. Patrick told 60 Minutes what actually happened: he had a massive panic attack in the back room before testifying. He nearly didn't go back in. He forced himself to return and finish. The cameras captured a man who looked composed. The back room held a man who was falling apart. Patrick also said he forgave Lindsay immediately — not because she asked, but because the alternative was letting the rage destroy him. Robin Dreeke analyzes the gap between how trauma presents and how the internet demands it look — and what it costs a grieving father when strangers treat his worst day as content.

Caleb Flynn's Daughters Will Take the Stand — Here's WHAT They Know Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

Caleb Flynn's defense comes down to a coincidence the prosecution says nobody should believe. He claims a burglar stole his own 9mm handgun from his Ford pickup truck on the exact night someone used that weapon to shoot his wife Ashley twice in the head inside their Tipp City, Ohio, home. Then the burglar vanished, leaving the two young Flynn daughters untouched in the next room. Prosecutors say Caleb staged the entire scene. He was arrested within 82 hours and indicted on 11 charges — aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, and witness intimidation. His bond was set at $3.5 million. But the trial in Miami County is about to deliver something worse than physical evidence for the defense. Those two daughters are on the prosecution's witness list. A judge ruled they will testify — audio only, no video cameras. The woman with whom Caleb was allegedly having an affair is also set to testify. The jury will hear the secret Caleb allegedly kept from Ashley, from her family, and from the community that knew them as a devoted couple. Defense attorney L. Patrick Mulligan has 128 names on his own witness list.

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer break down what the defense is working with, what happens when a public persona collapses under oath, and how a jury weighs a father's story against his own children's testimony. Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Caleb Flynn Called 911 Sobbing — Then Said WHAT?! Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

Caleb Flynn was sobbing on the phone with a 911 dispatcher at 2:30 in the morning, telling them somebody broke into his Tipp City, Ohio, home and killed his wife Ashley. Two gunshot wounds to her head. Their two young daughters asleep in the next room. A burglar he never saw, using a gun that prosecutors say belonged to Caleb himself. Within hours, investigators from Tipp City police, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the FBI were inside that house and the home invasion story was already falling apart. The physical staging didn't match. The details Caleb gave the dispatcher didn't track with a man who had just discovered his wife's body. Eighty-two hours after that call, Caleb Flynn was in the back of a police car. The former American Idol contestant and worship leader — the man who once told a national audience he loved his wife more than anything — was headed to the Miami County Jail. A grand jury indicted him on 11 charges including aggravated murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, and witness intimidation. His bond was set at $3.5 million.

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer sit down to dissect the prosecution's evidence. The 911 call. The botched staging. The forensic trail. And the behavioral tells that put law enforcement on Caleb before Ashley's family had even buried her. Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

JP Miller Did WHAT as Mica’s Law Stalled?! Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott is at the center of this episode because the story is bigger than a federal indictment. She examines the pattern Mica Miller’s family says she documented herself: medication allegedly controlled by someone else, unwanted injections, sleep deprivation and repeated police reports. Her family says the systems around her never saw the whole picture at once.

That pattern is why Mica’s family has backed a South Carolina coercive-control bill known as Mica’s Law. The latest proposal, SB 702, sought to make coercive control unlawful and expand what courts and police can recognize inside an intimate relationship. It stalled during the 2026 legislative session and has not become law. Scott explains why that matters: a person can experience domination as one continuous reality while the legal system keeps sorting it into disconnected incidents.
JP Miller now faces federal cyberstalking and false-statement charges tied to alleged conduct from November 2022 through Mica’s death on April 27, 2024. Prosecutors allege unwanted contact, tracking devices, interference with her finances and daily activities, tire damage and an intimate image posted without consent. He has pleaded not guilty and has not been charged in connection with her death. His federal case is set for the October 2026 trial term.

While Mica’s family pushed for a new law, JP moved into a new marriage. He married Suzie Skinner in June 2025. Suzie’s former husband, Chris Skinner, an Army veteran who became quadriplegic after a vehicle crash, died in a pool in September 2021. The death was ruled accidental. His family has raised questions publicly, and the matter has reportedly been revisited. No one has been charged in his death.

Netflix interviewees have alleged JP and Suzie were involved before Mica died. JP denies that and has said they began dating later. Scott’s lane is the behavior around that transition: how alleged controllers can reframe the past, build a new public identity and leave the people around them arguing over what the previous relationship actually was.

Matthew Farwell Faces a Death Certificate That Says WHAT?! Sep 20, 2026
    Show notes

The Matthew Farwell trial begins with a document that no longer says what it said for five years. Sandra Birchmore’s death certificate originally listed suicide. In April 2026, the Massachusetts medical examiner changed the manner of death to undetermined and changed the cause from asphyxia by hanging to asphyxia.

Farwell’s defense still says Sandra killed herself. Judge Denise Casper has ruled that his lawyers may show jurors evidence of Sandra’s mental-health struggles and suicidal thoughts. That creates the central fight for October: whether the jury sees those records as an explanation for her death, or as personal history that does not answer the physical and investigative evidence prosecutors plan to present.
Federal prosecutors allege Farwell met Sandra through the Stoughton Police Explorers program, where she enrolled at 12. They say he began an unlawful relationship with her at 15 while he was 27 and later killed her to prevent disclosure of what had happened. Farwell has pleaded not guilty to charges of killing a witness and causing the death of Sandra’s unborn son.

The department’s own history sits underneath that prosecution. A 2022 internal investigation found that Farwell, his twin brother William, and former deputy chief Robert Devine had inappropriate relationships with Sandra. William Farwell and Devine have not been criminally charged in this case.

Federal prosecutors have also criticized the original death investigation. Their court filings say local officers told the medical examiner there was “no foul play” within about an hour of finding Sandra. They did not compel Farwell’s DNA or seize his devices at the time. Years later, federal investigators reworked the same case and obtained evidence they say supports homicide, including DNA evidence tied to the strap at the scene.

The defense says that evidence does not erase Sandra’s prior struggles. The prosecution says those struggles do not explain away the alleged staging. Jury selection is set for October 5, 2026.

Mark Kaufman Says JP Miller Was NEVER Part of WHAT?! Sep 20, 2026
    Show notes

The Mica Miller case is forcing people around JP Miller to define exactly how close they really were. Mark Kaufman was best man at JP and Mica's 2017 wedding, but his September 2026 statement says JP was never part of the core friend group with whom he regularly spent his time.

That statement arrived after Netflix's Death of the Pastor's Wife showed Kaufman repeatedly inside the story. Wedding footage captured him joking that JP forced him to be his friend and best man. The morning after Mica's death, JP stood in front of Solid Rock Church and introduced Kaufman to the congregation as his best friend before Kaufman sang.

Kaufman says the public picture of that friendship is inaccurate. He denies helping JP pursue another woman, denies witnessing mistreatment of Mica, and says he has severed ties with JP and the church. Separate reporting says JP once held a minority share in Kaufman's Crocodile Rocks piano bar and that the remaining interest was bought out in late 2025.

The episode also returns to JP's own words at Mica's May 5, 2024 memorial. He told the congregation he had gone to spend time beside her body multiple times and claimed he tried to raise her from the dead. Robin Dreeke, a former FBI Special Agent and behavioral analyst, examines what loyalty, social pressure, coercive-control allegations, and public separation can look like inside a close religious community.

The legal case is separate from Mica's death. A federal grand jury charged JP with cyberstalking and making false statements, and he pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege tracking, repeated unwanted contacts, financial interference, an intimate image posted without consent, and conduct involving her vehicle between November 2022 and April 27, 2024. JP has not been charged in Mica's death. His federal trial has been continued to the October 2026 term.

Kevin Reddington Is Challenging the Mistrial HOW?! Sep 20, 2026
    Show notes

Kevin Reddington is challenging what happens next in the Lindsay Clancy case before prosecutors have committed to a retrial. The September 29 hearing now brings together two separate defense attacks on the aftermath of the 11-1 hung jury.

One route is Massachusetts Rule 25. That rule permits a judge to enter a required finding of not guilty when the evidence is insufficient as a matter of law. The other route is a double-jeopardy argument. Reddington says the mistrial lacked manifest necessity because jurors reported that the lone holdout acknowledged doubt but still would not join the majority.

The jury instructions make that dispute harder to reduce to a simple story about one stubborn juror. Judge William Sullivan told the panel it had to accept the law as he gave it, whether jurors agreed with it or not. The deadlock charge also told them that each verdict had to be the product of the individual juror's own convictions. It then reminded them that a defendant must receive the benefit of any reasonable doubt.

During deliberations, Reddington asked Sullivan to remove the holdout. The judge declined, explaining that discharging a deliberating juror requires extreme caution and that the record did not show the juror had stopped deliberating or refused to obey the law. The trial ended in a mistrial on September 4 after more than 38 hours of deliberations across seven days.

Defense attorney Bob Motta breaks down where these arguments overlap and where they do not. The next question is whether Sullivan sees a legal basis to end the case, or whether the Commonwealth gets another chance to present it to twelve new jurors.

Wendi Adelson Said Donna Wanted the Boys Dressed HOW?! Sep 20, 2026
    Show notes

Donna Adelson’s role in the Dan Markel case reaches far beyond the murder charge that sent her to prison. At her 2025 trial, jurors heard Wendi Adelson describe what happened after a judge rejected her request to move the children from Tallahassee to South Florida. Wendi testified that Donna proposed converting the boys to Christianity, dressing them in Hitler Youth uniforms, and offering Markel $1 million to approve the relocation.

The testimony exposed the level of pressure inside the Adelson family before Markel’s death. Wendi told jurors that Donna “micromanaged my life.” Robert Adelson, Donna’s estranged oldest son, described his mother as controlling and said she “ran the show.” He also testified that Charlie needed more attention from Donna than the other children.

Charlie’s own records later showed how constant that connection remained. In the seven days between his November 6, 2023 conviction and Donna’s November 13 arrest, jail records showed 86 calls to the phone number associated with Donna. The calls totaled 2,118 minutes, more than 35 hours.

At Donna’s trial, financial investigator Mary Hull testified that Donna handled hotels, flights, and bills for Charlie. Katherine Magbanua testified that Charlie sometimes left the room to call Donna during conversations about the murder arrangement. Magbanua also said Charlie told her Donna had physically washed cash that later reached her. Those statements remain Magbanua’s testimony, and Donna’s defense challenged the prosecution’s interpretation of the financial evidence.

Donna was convicted of first-degree murder, conspiracy, and solicitation for orchestrating Markel’s murder-for-hire killing. Her direct appeal remains pending. On September 8, 2026, the First District Court of Appeal accepted her amended initial brief and ordered the state to answer within 30 days.

Shavaun Scott Explains JP Miller’s "Protection" Story Sep 20, 2026
    Show notes

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott is front and center in this look at the JP Miller case, because the most revealing part of the allegation may not be the surveillance itself. It may be the explanation. Federal prosecutors say Miller told agents he had Mica Miller watched for her own safety. Shavaun Scott explains why clinicians often see that as a classic form of carewashing — coercive behavior dressed up in the softer language of help, concern and protection.

The same frame helps explain the second half of the story: the unraveling of Solid Rock Church. Public reporting says the ministry controlled roughly $5.59 million in property and assets in late 2023, after years of tithes and expansion fundraising. Within a year, the church and school were closed, the main building had sold for $2.15 million, and former insiders were publicly saying they never saw full financial records or even knew about some of the assets attributed to the ministry, including multiple vehicles and an airplane.

The federal indictment, returned in December 2025, charges Miller with cyberstalking and making false statements. Prosecutors allege that from November 2022 until Mica’s death in April 2024, he engaged in unwanted contact, interference with her finances and daily life, tire damage, nonconsensual posting of an intimate image and tracking devices placed on her vehicle. Miller has pleaded not guilty, denies wrongdoing and has not been charged in Mica’s death. The criminal case is set for the October 2026 trial term.

Shavaun Scott’s point is that institutions can absorb the language of a controlling person and start repeating it back as fact. Once that happens, concern for the target gets filtered through the controller’s story.
This episode combines the federal allegations with the money trail and the ministry collapse to ask a harder question: when a church tells itself that surveillance is protection and opacity is normal, how much damage can be done before anyone finally calls it what it is?

JP Miller Was Already WHERE When Mica First Married?! Sep 19, 2026
    Show notes

JP Miller and Mica Miller’s relationship did not begin with a marriage license. Years earlier, JP was the pastor at Solid Rock Church and the man standing at the altar when Mica married her first husband, Jeremy Deas.

Mica began attending Solid Rock as a teenager and became deeply involved in the church. JP was about fifteen years older and occupied several positions of authority in her life. He was her pastor and spiritual mentor. He officiated her first wedding. Public records and reporting later place Mica working for JP’s family before the two eventually married in November 2017.

That progression is the first half of the story. The second is the federal case. Prosecutors charged JP in December 2025 with cyberstalking and making false statements. The indictment alleges a course of conduct beginning in November 2022 that included unwanted communications, tracking devices placed on Mica’s vehicle, interference with her finances and daily activities, tire damage and an intimate image posted without her consent. JP has pleaded not guilty. He has not been charged in connection with Mica’s April 27, 2024 death, and the federal case is set for the October 2026 trial term.

Jennifer Coffindaffer, a former FBI Special Agent, examines what investigators look for when authority, access and surveillance overlap. Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott focuses on the people around a powerful figure and why loyalty to a leader can become stronger than the impulse to question what is happening.

That distinction matters. The indictment alleges JP caused tracking devices to be placed, but it does not charge church members with cyberstalking. Separate public accounts from former congregants describe concerns about JP being raised inside Solid Rock and dismissed. Together, those records create a harder question about what the institution saw, what it accepted and when anyone decided to push back.
